I had that thought as I was writing my response but didn’t know how to word it. You are right though.
Just here to contribute a few cracking commentary lines and spend hours on the transfer market.

Re: [IDEA] Technique and Power Penalties
You will need to explain this more as so far as I am aware, the best way to maximise summaries is always to get every relevant skill as high as possible. If you get one skill higher than the others, you start losing the benefit of that skill. So having tech higher than primary will increase summary above a player with 2 balanced skills but the benefits reduce each time the tech increases - so there is little point in training a skill to be much higher than others.GM-crowfan65 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 1:09 pmThe problem is that there is more than one way to get the same summary, but people are reluctant to try it.

Higher tech will increase Def skill, while higher primary will increase Att skill... I think
So a spec/out could be as good as a out/spec player. And potentially an excep/out could equal out/excep

Higher primary affects both attack and defence.
So does tech and strength, but not as much as defence and attack, respectively.

I think this is part of the problem. The game seems to be set up to be perfectly balanced. Players need all the skills equally which contribute to everything and nothing can be ahead or behind the others. All which make up the all powerful summary.GM-crowfan65 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 12:22 amHigher primary affects both attack and defence.

You might as well just bin all the skills. And just have one summary skill and train that.
Dont mean to sound overly harsh but thats how it feels. I thinl for varied players. Aside from anything else people would need to know the practical difference between different players.
The only way to truly get variety is to have potential but some wont be happy with that.
