Long term overdrawn Clubs

Post by boscorp » Wed Oct 15, 2025 8:06 am

I think a bit more could be done to deter long term debt. At the moment I think not enough is done to "encourage" a manager to get out of debt.
How about a training efficiency penalty for clubs excellent and above if they choose not to downgrade in a 5 week period? Debts of under 100k could be exempt from the penalty.

it is on my list to work on two things, better penalty for those in debt but also more ways to get out of it

Yeah thanks, Its just that I currently find it too easy to avoid selling your best players if your wanting to keep them and remain in debt.

I still find it wild that you can maintain full academies in bankruptcy. At a minimum, they should be wound back a level every week you’re in debt.
Just here to contribute a few cracking commentary lines and spend hours on the transfer market.

A homegrown side with a top academy theoretically has no need to have a bank balance in credit. Even the actions of the administrators can be pre-empted fairly easily to avoid losing any player you wish to keep.
