Better late than never, I guess

1. Opener/Finisher/New Ball/Old Ball. For these which overs do they take effect in, and is it a stactic boost for all the applicable ocvers, or does it scale/gradient (i.e. Does a new ball bowler get more boost in over 1 and a smaller boost over 3).

2. If I had membership and added a player to the hall of fame. Do they stay in there when membership expires, or do they get removed ?

no scaling, it is either on or off

currently very few know what the overs are when they are active

I have been here a little while but one of the questions I did not get answered earlier is how important is the Academy. I understand that the better the Academy is the better recruit you get , but is it worth spending the extra money on the Academy. I was told that the Main Team is what I should concentrate on but thought that your Youth structure would ultimately make your overall team stronger but that was dismissed when I asked that question. So my question now is - is the extra expense worth it if I should start to build the Academy - thanks

Good questions.

First of alll the level of the Academy has NO effect on the level of youth recruit. It may give the recruit a second talent but that in itself is no reason to invest ,
Academy levels do effect the training speed of your players though.
Deciding how much or how little to invest is the question.

Have you the funds to invest without making your club bankrupt?
I see you have way too many players at your club when half the games you will play are against bots
Currently you are spending 210K a week on wages 180 of that is on seniors. You are wasting money there, I would cull that squad and just keep what you need for now.
How much do you have coming in each week?
Are you making money?

Academy levels DO affect the level of a youth recruit. A higher acd level means better recruits on average. You still get a lot of Crud in between though.

Endurance depending on levels and age (so fitness training).

I still train strength on my spinners, I just switch to it later than I would for other player types

In theory wrist spinners should take more wickets but go for more runs. You don't have to play one all the time but it's good to have one at your club. On spin pitches they're very handy indeed.

A basic training schedule from 16yo:
1. Fielding to Reliable.
2. Primary/Primary Tech until they are 21.
3. Fielding to Spectacular or Exceptional (Go the higher one if they are a batsman, medium or a finger spinner)
4. Primary/Primary Tech until 25.
5. Strength and Endurance until each hit Exceptional
6. Should be close to 29 by this point so free choice from there.

Orders
- Normal aggression is perfectly okay, I would say have at least 60% of the overs on Normal (so 30 of 50).
- Players with low endurance should bowl 50% of the overs either side of the drinks break. Average or worse is low for youths, accomplished or worse is low for seniors. It's fine to bowl everyone 50/50.
- Utilise talents in your squad. Finishers 5-7, give New Ball Bowlers the new ball. Bowling triggers are random and they all mean the same thing so there's no simple tactic for when to use them. Accumulator and Boundary Hitter "trigger" on what was otherwise going to be a dot ball, so if the game is going to have more dot balls these talents have more value (Sticky, Crumbling, Slow). Managers will often use them on Defensive as the innings anchor.

Academies
It's going to take a while to be able to really afford top academies and run a top side. A big part of the cycle is gate takings, which is influenced by club supporters. Established, top side have like 2500 supporters so it's a long road to really hit that mark.

But I don't want that to be upsetting. Superior academy is the level to aim for as from there you can train quality players and not go bankrupt.
