Ames out for 3 already; he's not having the best end to his youth career. He's one that I'll be looking to sell; I don't think we'll miss him as he's not been great with the ball or the bat. To be fair to him, he's not always bowled at the best times or batted in the most suitable spot for him.

Ffoh won by 10 runs

It's a bit disappointing that we're not doing better in the YT20 league this season. I'm not unhappy with the ratings though considering the circumstances. My medium pacers were quite poor especially with it being a green pitch.

On the positive side, Pithey did well again with 2-24 and Galindo showed that he might be ready to move up the order after a rapif 31 not out from 16 balls.

A victory against the bottom team eases my relegation worries a little, despite playing a much weakened side. Recent signing McKenzie finally got a score (61), his 10 previous innings, mainly against mediocre opposition, produced a top score of only 23!

Bad news, everyone. I'm pretty sure that the first sign of the apocalypse is Ruff Royals winning a senior league game in season 56 and we have done exactly that. Fingers crossed that the other signs take a lot longer to manifest.

A tactical masterclass by Oxhey Players so far. They put us in to bat then kept dropping my young batter Howe who went on to score quite slowly. That slow scoring might cost us the game as we only managed 211 despite only losing 4 wickets.

My bowlers are currently struggling to take wickets and they're not managing to keep the scoring rate down.

It's time to say goodbye to Ames although it kinda feels more like good riddance is more appropriate. He was by far our worst bowler today.

Mitchell scored 75, Obuya 41 and Howe 45. Howe's 45 was off 89 balls though which, along with Ames' bowling, probably cost us the game.

We'll move down to second place due to our NRR.

A decent score on a slow pitch but it could have been so much better if it wasn't for a hattrick for Abid in the 46th over which really slowed us down. House was the star with the bat as he got 114 from 125 balls and his accumulator talent proved useful for once.

Our bowlers got them to 34-3, but they've recovered now.

lost the toss and was put in to bat on humid/sticky. Was a pretty woeful effort with the bat, all out for 132 with 11 overs remaining, our top scorer being Van Den Bergh with a measly 26. However in response our bowling was excellent, especially Olise with figures of 7-0-22-5, and we emerged with a 25 run win. Not a good performance by any means, but we get the job done!
