Fielding/Keeping 14,765 14,961
Overall 220,989 224,030

Cutting Edge CC won by 62 runs

Damaging, heavy defeat to the bottom side. The NRR impact, along with the other side in the relegation area winning means that relegation is now a very real possibility. Didn't look likely a few weeks ago, but have lost 4 in a row, including both against the two sides that are in the relegation area.

Not the result we wanted or needed, but still 4th place isn't totally out of the question!

Ruff Royals won by 39 runs

Sledgingshire Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 6,756 7,316
Batting - Middle Order 5,579 6,019
Batting - Tail 3,878 3,774
Bowling - Seam 6,358 (12) 7,297 (8)
Bowling - Spin 7,629 (8) 8,429 (12)
Fielding/Keeping 8,492 9,419
Overall 120,787 132,804

That win sees me stay in the division for another season and I believe it also consigns Sledgingshire and Danger Hotspurs to relegation.

We were put in to bat on a slow pitch. Bullock scored 27, Patterson 38, Dickerson 31 not out and the star of the show was House with 56 not out. It was a challenging total of 170 to win. My bowlers didn't take a massive amount of wickets but were economical enough, given the total we were defending, to win with some ease.

Meanwhile, at the top of the league, the Staindrop sides battled it out for a tie whilst Relegation reprobates won. That leaves Monsieurflibble's Relegation reprobates side in pole position to win the title.

Holy CENSORED what a game, thought we were dead and buried at one point, seemed like everything was going against us. Firstly their 12.5K rate bat managed to get an unbeaten 118, then their 15K rate spinner picked up 4/8 from his first two overs whilst our 20K+spinners took 1/67 combined

Looked out of it at 126/6 still needing 81, but fortunately Burrows played a wonderful knock with 60 from 30, before Olise saw us home with a 6. Result: Won by 3 wickets with two balls remaining! PHEW!!!!!!

Overall 201,411 235,154

would have been pretty tragic if we'd lost the game on those ratings, but very pleased with the team to get over a line on a day when it seemed everything was going against us! Still in some relegation trouble, need a win next week to guarantee safety, but was vital we got a result today.

Egham Town CC won by 6 runs

Having a much better spin bowling line up did me no favours on a Windy/Dry (which is quite often the case). Could well be relegated next week if we lose, despite having 6 wins for the season.

We lost the toss and had to bat first. McCall and Best got us off to a good start with Best ending on 35 and McCall 65. Issa also helped out with 38 as we managed to reach 171.

With Callaway being sold, Massey was given a chance to impress and he didn't do badly with 2-25 although the best figures for the match were Hodges' 3-24. We didn't bowl them out but still picked up the 4 points with an 18 run win.

Fielding/Keeping 17,045 16,510
Overall 235,512 219,656

That win should have put us 2nd and guarantees that we can finish no lower than 3rd.

My lads were very fortunate to come away victorious here. Seems like the difference was Thiong’o’s 37 (16) towards the death, helped ensure my under strength spin attack could control the game without needing to take wickets.

It’s going to be tight down there, wish you the best of luck

Dry pitch and we bowled first. We restricted them to 180 although we only took 4 wickets. Our batting was good though. 72 for Bullock, 58 not out for Dickerson and 38 not out for House.

We are now confirmed to finish 2nd as long as they don't find out about how we've bribed the umpires and decide to dock us some points.

We've moved on three of our more senior players, but kept them in time for this game - so we have three players playing today that are no longer at the club   Needed to cut the wage bill a bit and free some funds to hopefully bring in one or two younger players in the pre-season. bit of a gamble to do it now with relegation still possible in SOD and T20, but fingers crossed it works out.

Tough game today against Ffoh, who we have a dreadful record against. Lost the toss and having a bat on crumbling/overcast, 20 gone and we're 76/2. Just awaiting the inevitable 100/7 collapse now
