P. O'Mara (rm) 4-0-42-1, P. Solomon 44 (28b), L. Avila 25 (19b)
End of over 8 (20 runs) - Ruff Royals(73-1). 39 runs required from 12 overs. RR 9.12 RRR 3.25

O'Mara took an early wicket but now Solomon's smashed him all over the park in the last over. Surely we'll get the rest of these runs now.

struggling majorly with fatigue at the moment, having essentially fluked it to round 4 of the pavilion cup, but still put out a reasonably strong team today. won the toss on slow/humid and had a bat, hit 127-4 in our 20 which I'm reasonably happy with. Opps 47-3 after 10, so we're a little ahead of the game at this stage, but all it takes is one decent partnership ...

Well that really isn't good as pretty much ensured relegation this season, need to beat teams like this especially when we never looked like even competing today! After last weeks shocking loss to another weaker team in the youth OD league this season is starting to spiral out of control!
Lets not even mention being 0-3 in the SOD Div3.

My fault for keeping the upset Crumbling pitch when playing a team I expected to be weaker than us, took my eye off the ball!

Could definitely do with a win to get my season up and running. Another game where I couldn't decided whether to bat or bowl first; I've decided to have a bat first if we win the toss but I'm having second thoughts not. Don't mind if I lose the toss really.

End of over 4 (6 runs) - Ruff Royals(14-1) RR 3.50

We lost the toss and were made to bat. We've lost a wicket already and my two key batsmen are in now.

End of over 10 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(41-3) RR 4.10

I think we may have lost already. These two would need to put on a partnership of about 120+ for me to think we've even got half a chance.

Not great considering the batting to come and a lot of work for these two to do.

J. Lord (rm) 6-0-40-1, C. Childe-Freeman 9 (15b), S. McGuirk 67 (69b)
End of over 20 (13 runs) - swinton sharks(104-2) RR 5.20

19.6 6 Lord to McGuirk : [Boundary Hitter] McGuirk gives Lord the Rhino charge, which must be a terrifying sight. Reaches the pitch and heaves the ball into the crowd at wide long-on.
18.4 6 Fox to McGuirk : [Boundary Hitter] Tossed up by Fox; and it's been absolutely nailed by McGuirk. Flat and hard over long off for six runs!

16.4 4 Fox to McGuirk : [Boundary Hitter] Glorious shot there. If McGuirk were any more on fire, he would spontaneously combust.

8.4 6 Ylyett to McGuirk : [Boundary Hitter] McGuirk charges down the track like an invading marauder and lifts a short delivery over long-on for six!
3.6 6 Lord to McGuirk : [Boundary Hitter] Short and McGuirk takes him on, hooking him high, high over fine leg for six. Didn't look in complete control, but it really flew away off the bat!

Well this is killing us so far!

20.1 6 Shurmer to Childe-Freeman : An old-fashioned slog back over mid-on's head for six.

Now a normal 6 :doh

21 runs from our quicks last two overs, this game is quickly slipping away.

C. Fox (rws) 5-1-23-2, S. McGuirk 72 (79b), C. Eastham 0 (0b)
End of over 26 (maiden) - swinton sharks(136-5) RR 5.23

Well that quickly turned around.

Three wickets taken in two overs with both being maidens, we certainly need McGuirk out and quickly.
