These larger icons are much clearer (and easier to tap on mobile too). Good work.GM-crowfan65 wrote: βMon Jan 29, 2024 10:22 amScreenshot 2024-01-23 at 18-57-56 From the Pavilion - Squad.png

Re: S57-58 Changes
Yeah being the older brigade I forget abut mobile so we made it bigger just for that reason though I have to admit I do like them that size now.

I'll definitely be interested in moving my affiliate over then.

Re: S57-58 Changes
Will transfer preferences be given to those moving from the "big3, then main clubs and lastly affiliates or is it a free for all?
I'm interested.

Re: S57-58 Changes
Given there is 64 spots for both I don't believe we will need to limit what teams can move.
At this stage it will be whoever applies first, new affiliates in USA and UAE won't be allowed unless there is less than 64 teams in the first season.

Re: S57-58 Changes
Will there be more discussion on the changes announced this week?
Specifically the effects of the following:
Whilst reviewing the code we have found a few things that are not working as intended.
1. Wicketkeepers had a reduction in their fielding capabilities. We can only guess that in the early days keepers were much better than their fielding counterparts, we don't believe that is the case anymore. We have tested it with a reduced amount so it matches the pass rate of equivalent fielders.
2. Opener Talent wasn't in line with other similar talents so this has been brought in line according to our thoughts.
3. When recruiting a seam or spin bowler the skill range was not set to be the same (only secondaries were different) so this has also been fixed
#1 I guess means that keepers will now be better at fielding than before: "had a reduction in their fielding capabilities (in the past)", but could also mean conceivably mean the opposite. Since we all have to have a keeper it should not change much in terms of strategy.
#2 "Opener Talent wasn't in line with other similar talents" could mean (i) it was too strong/long-lasting and has been weakened/shortened or (ii) it was too weak/short-lasting. Not everyone has openers so this will effect some more than others
#3 similarly ambiguous, again assuming here that secondaries were less on seam/spin bowler (overall ratings tend to be less than general) but I always thought that was intentional with specialists being less good all-round athletes. Unclear which direction it now moves.
Any guesses from the general public?
Or even better - clarifications from management?

Re: S57-58 Changes
I always believed fielding was over rated on keepers with the popular expectation that you had to have high fielding to have a good keeper. Is it now even more important or is it less?
I thought all the talents got reviewed a few seasons back, but nice to know that this talent will be more effective now.
I've nearly always just gone for a general recruit thinking there was no difference in skills just random as to what type of player he would arrive at. Is there an advantage to being more specific than general?
I hope some discussion on the changes occurs.

Re: S57-58 Changes
1. Keepers will pass more checks with no change to there current skill levels, the amount of fielding they need hasn't change YET
2. Opener talent will be better than it was.
3. General will still give you better ratings overall (on average). When pulling specific for bowlers, spin was less than seam; this has been corrected so seam and spin will be very similar

Re: S57-58 Changes
So with keepers passing more fielding checks than before does that make the all the bowlers a bit more effectively stronger again?GM-crowfan65 wrote: βThu Apr 04, 2024 5:59 am1. Also the same with point 3. Now spinners will be recruited slightly stronger. I thought seam bowlers were that way because power is a bit more important for them than spinners. Shouldn't it of stayed that way?

Re: S57-58 Changes
Slightly stronger but the inc to RR will offset that
No we deemed for fairness that they should come out the same
The diff in strength requirement is not that great
