Training advice?
Hi People,

Would it be right to train in fielding till reliable/capable and to develop him into a batsman if the academy level is below superior? If superior and above it'd be great to see him start being an all-rounder? Then deciding on 18th Year which path would be best depending on team, requirement and performance?

Does it sound like a plan?

Regards
Raj

primaries too low to train as an AR would go for a bat as well

Training advice?
I try and avoid having a/rs with the opener talent...... of course you could make him a "pinch hit" all rounder..... however, I would go a straight bat - he has good endo and power so should make a great opening bat.

I would train bat tech until tech pops then alternate fielding and batting (assuming tech is at least equal to batting and if not carry on with bat tech).

Agreed - but his secondaries mean he will catch up on primaries later. No training talent also suggests a bat to me.

Shame his talent and skills don't match. I would train fielding until reasonable and then alternate fielding with bat tech

We've had quite a few "lost wallets" in the senior squads over the seasons.....
