Hi guys

I won't be standing for the Nat job again this time. I have a new baby due to arrive very soon and work is getting hectic. It's been an honour as always. The world cup was Crud so sorry about that but the batting just didn't hold up. Highlights winning the t20 title in the first tour and maintaining division 1 in the SOD. Low point being relegated in the second t20 tour but still leaving things in a good place for the new manager.

SL NT - Another Era

Elections were finalised today. Won without any opponent.

As we move into the next era I would like to welcome my new assistants.

Each of the assistants have shown a passion for international management and were all runners up in their elections.

To me, having 3 assistants is a massive win for Sri Lanka as a lot of countries struggle to get more than 1.

Please welcome to the Sri Lankan community

26-11-2022 Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat on Crumbling/windy day.

SL looking for early strike and was provided in 4th over but the Netherlands middle order stood still and continue to rotate the strike. S. Keerthilatha took 4 & N. Mahesh took 3 wickets to wrap the side.

179 never going to be any easy chase, top 4 went down on just 12 then R. Segamoah & C. Warakagoda stable the inning and put 97 run stand and provide some hope, S. Van Katwijk took 4 for 33 to end the inning on 172.

Player of the day award goes to C. Warakagoda for his 61.

We've had a good tour draw suiting our bowler selection.

There was a number of discussions held in the National chat room between myself and my assistants and this squad in the end was picked based on the overall view points of all 4 of us.

A very strong team effort!

Further to this we have 7 debutants out of the 18 as well. But we believe our team is strong enough to hold their own in a competitive Div 1 league.

Tune in Monday!

good luck I'll be tuning in :D

great start with a win. It looked a bit familiar but great to see a good partnership in the middle order to get us over the line :thumbsup It's about time WarakaGODa lived upto his billing.

Great win first up against Australia.

We think we have a squad strong enough to win Div 1 and matchday 1 has shown that.

New Zealand today on Dry/Cloudy.

Tune in from 4:30 game time for a hot contest!

One Day Champions!

Sri Lanka are once again Senior Div 1 One Day champions.

With wins against Australia, India & Canada we managed to take the title on NRR.

A massive thank you to my 3 assistants who were constantly engaged and provided a significant amount of input to affect the outcome of these results!

Sri Lanka couldn't have achieved this result without them!

Thank you

Unfortunately a terrible Twenty20 tour this season.

Won the first game and lost the next 4 to relegate to Div 3.

Very disappointing.

We have qualified for the World Cup however so hopefully, we can make amends then!

Apologies to all!
