Picked up this guy for 14k. Fielding needs immediate work, probably a whole season of training, however I think still a decent bit of business??

Don't be rude, it's as legitimate a concern as any. There are multiple reasons for any player to be cheap. Age and poor secondaries are reasons.

Whats wrong with having high tech?
He's got 4k of spares and a double-talent so not that concerned. If the original owner had trained fielding he might have gone for a lot more, but I've basically picked him up for next to nothing.

The amount of technique training received from fielding is usually overestimated.

A good buy. You could sell him for at least triple in a few seasons.

Hes a medium pacer. They are a dime a dozen.
Exactly .... even with a better batting skills or some bowling talent like NBB or OBB, his price would have been 40-50k easy I suppose.

https://www.fromthepavilion.org/player. ... Id=2270871

this one went almost 200k yesterday(in significantly lesser rush time )

I guess, he would have been sold more than 250k+ if chucked in TM during Friday (10-12 server time)
The gifted technique and especially the OBB trait was the key for this one.

Don't think the TM is 'broken'. I'm not sure what fix could be done to increase prices (if the current prices are even a problem, or just something we have to adjust to).

My impression is that there are less people playing the game (possibly partly due to the stamping down on cheats) and that is naturally going to deflate the TM as there are less people potentially in the market for buying players. The only thing that will significantly raise prices is an influx of new managers - which would of course be a good thing all round.

The biggest change I have seen is the 16yo’s.
Every Monday- Tuesday we use to see a lot of good 16yo’s especially in the first few weeks of the season.
Now with the age change and the change of promotion from 20 to 21 I’ve noticed a drop in good 16yo’s on the TM every week, it seams to me that with those changes more and more managers hold on to the good 16yo’s because they get a lot more out of them.

biggest change for me is "center for homeless players".
I've stopped going to the regular transfer market and just check there instead.
