Just FYI for the people rolling their eyes, the literal dictionary definition of racism, not some interpretation, but the actual dictionary definition is:
..The belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance..
or
..the devaluation of various traits of character or intelligence as ‘typical’ of particular peoples..
I didn't say, or imply, that it contains a racial slur, or was hate speech, just that implying a nationality/group of people are all possessed of a particular trait, is by definition racist. It's an innocent mistake I think, just from someone who knows nothing about Jamaica apart from Usain Bolt is from there, and/or has vivid memories of the 2012 Olympics.
As for history, Jamaica doesn't even have a strong history of dominating sprinting - Usain Bolt is the only Jamaican to have ever won the men's 100m. He's also won the 200m twice and the last and only other Jamaican to win the 200 was Don Quarie in 1976. Jamaica has only won the 4x100 the last two times and only finished in the medals once before in Olympic history in 1984.
