End of over 41 (3 runs) - Scotland U20(196-4). 41 runs required from 9 overs. RR 4.78 RRR 4.56

Thought we were in strife at this stage, but a flurry of wickets from Habib, Abdulah and Khatib saw Scotland all out for 224.

6/26 after the the 41.2 over mark. Just shows what can happen when you score a decent total and put scoreboard pressure on a dry wicket.

Nazmi Abdulah (3 points), Paul Ferguson (2), Dermid Ingram (1)

UAE U20 won by 12 runs

Tweet of the Match: IT FEELS GOOD TO BE A WINNER! UAE stay up in div 2 to live another day!

Our best:

Nazmi Abdulah - 4/42 off 8.1 overs to go with his unbeaten 30 with the bat! Absolutely the difference between the two sides in a tight game.

Junaid Fattah - 58 runs from the skipper/opener including a 105 opening partnership to set up the innings. Also took a catch!

Anwar Abdel - An unbeaten 7 with the bat and 2/41 from his 10. Also took a catch!

Good to finish with a win! Also good to see the ME lottery reward us rather than betray us!

Fortunately, we stay in Div 2 and go a long way to securing a World Cup berth.

Unfortunately, our win was not big enough to jump to second and steal promotion.

We finish 3rd behind USA on NRR alone.
New Zealand won the unofficial final to take out the tour win!
West Indies beat Bermuda in the other fixture. This sees Bermuda finish 4th and West Indies 5th (split only by NRR). Scotland finished bottom with just the one win.

That’s a wrap on an Youth Tour! Apologies for not being around all week! I will see you all in two weeks time for a Senior T20 run!

Summed it up perfectly, Moose.

Thats' twice now the USA have beaten us to div 1 promotion on the last day. Positive signs either way.

Div 2 T20 starts tonight and we're up against the Canadians on a Crumbling deck.

As always, the goal is survival, but I still think our squad is strong enough to give promotion a shot.

Looking forward to a big tour from Fattah and Abdulah.

Comfortable 19 run win in the end, bit of a high scorer for the conditions, Fattah and Salih getting respectable 40s and Kedar and Saheed impressing with the ball

Good win to start. Fielding was on our side today and we got bumped up to 141. Was always going to be a tough chase for Canada.

Overall 163,268 177,311

Gaige Sampson (3 points), Tyler Holliday (2), Nazmi Abdulah (1)

UAE U20 won by 19 runs

The match in a tweet: Carnage at the end as UAE win somewhat comfortably. How about that 19th over! Wicket, misfield, missed runout, successful runout!

Our Best:
Nazmi Abdulah - 3/23 off the spinners 4 overs.

Jabril Kedar - 2/20 off the quicks 4 overs.

Kale Saheed - 2/18 off the Leggies 4 overs.

Junaid Fattah - 47 runs for the opener!

Riyad Salih - 44 runs for the number 3.

Two 50+ partnerships for the second and third wickets pushed us up to 141. Early wickets initially made it difficult going for Canada but they pushed back and looked on top before a flurry of wickets around the 10 over mark out the game back in our favour. Eventually the increasing run rate lead to a flurry of wickets at the end and we won by 19 runs.

Around the Grounds:

India beat Pakistan by 5 wickets. Chasing on a slow, India showed some nerves but ultimately got there with a ball to spare.

Zimbabwe beat England by 8 wickets. Zimbabwe’s four spinners shared the wickets as they rolled England for 102. They then chased it down in the 18th over only 2 down.

Tune in at 1300 as we take on India!

Well he didn't shut you down

Made 20. Wasn't the fastest at a 74 strike rate but stuck around a bit. I was expecting a duck knowing my luck so it's a start!

Anil Kumble (3 points), Yahir Hadad (2), Fakhir Shareef (1)

UAE U20 won by 3 runs

Tweet of the match: Imagine needing to hit a six off the last ball and settling for a single.

Well that was nervous but it goes in the book as a win. The drop on the second ball could have been disaster but India could only manage a single on the last ball. 20s from Fattah, Fawzi and Ommar sneaked us to 116. The spinners decided that was enough. Lead by Leggie Hadad’s three wickets who was nicely supported by Shareef’s two weickets.

Our best:
Yahir Hadad - 3/18 off 4, a catch and 9 runs unbeaten. A well rounded performance.

Fakhir Shareef - 2/14 off 4 overs and 11 runs unbeaten.

Around the Grounds:
Canada beat Zimbabwe by 29 runs

England beat Pakistan by 2 wickets

That win sets us alone on the top of the table, Pakistan sit bottom alone winless. Everyone else sits in the middle with the one win. It’s going to be a tightly fought week.

Zimbabwe are next. Tune in at 1300 as we look to secure another win. Let’s do this!
