Iβd fully accepted defeat.
Just here to contribute a few cracking commentary lines and spend hours on the transfer market.

Re: UAE U20 - News & Discussion
Did a very good job chasing down a score I'd put about 20 or so over par there
Our bowling remains a concern though

Re: UAE U20 - News & Discussion
Huge partnership from Latif and Mahmoud.
Thought for a moment we were going to throw it away, however Hadi on debut was brilliant (43*).
Nice to get a win on the board. As Penky mentioned, our bowling is a real concern at the moment.

Re: UAE U20 - News & Discussion
Well talk about leaving things to the last minute (not that I would know as I totally never do that. Ever. I promise.)
I will admit at the 43rd over I had come to peace with the loss (and changed the channel to bold and the beautiful but that doesnβt feel as relevant).
6 down needing 50 off 7 overs.
A run rate of more than 7 required and run rate less than 5.
Cue stage entry of Amjad Hadi ON DEBUT.
43 runs off 26 balls.
He was also nicely supported by Zane Bahaβs 22 runs of 21 balls.
Tour Match # 2
VS
Result:
win by 4 wickets.
The Match in a tweet: Iβve got no nails left. UAE win with an over to spare. A real blockbuster game. Heart rate high. Blood levels high. Coffee quantity also high.
Man of the Match: Emmanuel Dees
Our best:
Aban Latif - a solid 83 runs coming from 121 balls including six 4s and a maximum. He will be a little upset he couldnβt nail the ton but 141 run partnership for the second wicket laid a foundation for the bottom order to explode and steal the win in the last 7 overs.
Junaiod Mahmoud - Latifs partner in crime. 69 runs including 6 4s and two over the fence and into the crowd (sadly both crowd catches were spilt).
Once again a great start with the ball. To have the Dutch 1/1 in the first over sure was fun. Sadly unable to get any momentum through consecutive wickets. Fortunately the bats stood up and chased down the total.
Really need the bowlers to lift for the rest of the week. That was definitely an original thought and definitely not written on this sticky note from management that says βmention bowling - bowlers need to lift.β
Tune in at 0800 tomorrow as we take on Canada who are in red hot form with no losses so far this week. They also beat Zimbabwe today who we lost to yesterday.
Trust in the process

Not an issue, always been good at talking nonsense.
I enjoy doing these write ups more than any other aspect of the game.

Excellent performance from the batters there, I thought we were no chance of chasing that down

N. Saleem (rf) 7.4-0-36-5, S. Madison 3 (9b)
End of over 43 (1 run) - Canada U20(164-10) RR 3.81
We finally showed up with the ball today. Saleem was brilliant which was good to see.
As expected, we're making the chase difficult for ourselves..

End of over 16 (6 runs) - UAE U20(52-3). 113 runs required from 34 overs. RR 3.25 RRR 3.32
Anyone could win from here.
