Nice to see one of my lads contribute.
At least one if not both are gonna be playing in the last one! Hope they have a positive influence again!

Let's go boys. Day of reckoning is upon us.

EB looking to finish his reign of terror with a bang :ninja
Lets hope so buddy.
We called heads and lost the toss and Scotland chose to bat.

We wanted to bat first too so lets see what kind of toss that turns out to be at the end.
Not going to lie. I'd be amazed if we win this one. There seamers look stupidly strong and we have absolutely no batting depth what so ever today. Due to the fact that we just don't have alot of AR.

See if we can pull one out of nothing.

Be quiet you :whip

There opener is going big here. This could be the difference. To chase this we are gonna need a century from someone. Minimum.

293 to chase.

Hastie with 142 of those. He just scored 90 more then his best Nat one day score. We need something similar. One player to go big. We get that. I think we win. If we only get bits and pieces. We will be a long way back.

Our fielding was very very good till about 4 overs out then we started to fade. Feel we may need a bit of help from the Scottish fielders too.

Jabbar goes back to failing like he does best and we are left with our last partnership. This either goes very big or its over.

Last batsmen gone. Iys gonna be a thrashing unfortunately. Its a shame but gave it a good go. Hopefully these players will be better for it and they play a big part in the next few seasons.

100 Run loss in the end. Not how I wanted it to end but it is what it is. Brings an end to the my 2 season tenure as manager and to let you all know I won't be running again.

Just wanna say thank you for everyone who voted for me and gave me a shot at this. Here is hoping I've managed to get the squad ready for the next manager to take over!

Its not easy being green.

Tour Match # 5
Home: Scotland
Away: UAE
Ground: RabC Nesbitt Field
League: Nat One Day 3
Date 20 Aug 21 09:00
Crowd: 28,666
Weather: Cloudy
Pitch Hard

Scotland won the toss and elected to bat.

Was this a matter of win the toss, win the game? Who knows we may have also made almost 300 if we had batted first. But we also could have made 42. We just don’t know.

Result: :thumbsdown
Scotland won by 100 runs.

Ratings
Scotland vs UAE
Batting - Top Order: 14,101 vs 13,686
Batting - Middle Order: 11,886 vs 10,239
Batting - Tail: 4,878 vs 5,418
Bowling - Seam: 15,117 (40) vs13,983 (40)
Bowling - Spin: 15,143 (10) vs 13,822 (10)
Fielding/Keeping: 16,735 vs 16,490
Overall: 244,401 vs 231,183

The Match in a Tweet: The 28,666 crowd give a standing ovation at the end of the game as UAE National Manager EB leaves the ground for the last time as national manager. 👏 👏 👏

Man of the Match: Alexander Hastie (Sco)
142 from the Scottish opener absolutely the difference in this match. Our best score was 41. They won by 100. You do the maths.

Our best:
Imtiyaz Alim - 4/42 off his 10 overs including a maiden. Couldn’t have asked more of Alim in a tough day to be a UAE bowler.

Nawfal Shadi - 2/54 off his 10 overs including a maiden. The skipper also unbeaten on 14 with the bat is a helpless chase.

Around the Grounds:
Bangladesh beat USA by 4 wickets.

Ireland beat Pakistan by 61 runs.

That means Bangladesh and Scotland promote. We finish 4th. Equal with USA and Ireland with 2 wins. Pakistan bottom with just the one win.

Would just like to say a big thank you to EB for his time as national manager, a thankless job but thank you for all your effort and energy. :clap :clap

Solid review Moose.

Disappointing chase from the lads. Really should have done better with that start.

We posted the lowest ratings on tour, and I would assume the youngest side. Hopefully only up from here!
