That ends the innings of UAE. Netherlands will have a target of 254 to chase.

End of over 50 (1 run) - UAE(253-9) RR 5.06

Rakin Yousuf anchors the innings with an almost run a ball 89, well supported by Liam Duggan with 66.

They say in life you need a little bit of know how and a truck load of luck. The lads batted first, batted big and won. (Unheard of I know).

Home UAE
Away Netherlands
Ground Kuakata Kings CG
League Nat One Day 3
Date 31 Jan. 22 02:00
Crowd 19,000
Weather Humid
Pitch Dry

UAE Netherlands
Batting - Top Order 14,976 15,341
Batting - Middle Order 13,085 13,010
Batting - Tail 5,403 5,807
Bowling - Seam 13,918 (20) 15,535 (30)
Bowling - Spin 14,887 (30) 15,852 (20)
Fielding/Keeping 18,189 18,689
Overall 255,517 265,206

Result: UAE won by 30 runs
Toss: UAE won the toss and elected to bat.
Man of the match: Rakin Yousif (3 points), Hud Sam (2), Will Connolly (1)

Big second wicket and third wicket partnerships led to a big score that ultimately was enough for our bowlers to defend.

Our best:
Rakin Yousif - 89 runs from the number 3 in his first National senior OD. Talk about taking your opportunity! Well played son!

Hud Sam - 4/31 off 8.3 overs for the leggie.

Liam Duggan - 66 for the number 4.

Around the Grounds:
Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 72 runs.

USA beat Zimbabwe by 33 runs.

Tune in tomorrow as we play Pakistan.
Just here to contribute a few cracking commentary lines and spend hours on the transfer market.

Home UAE
Away Pakistan
Ground Second Snickets Dome
League Nat One Day 3
Date 01 Feb 22 02:00
Crowd 28,501
Weather Sunny
Pitch Crumbling

UAE Pakistan
Batting - Top Order 14,519 15,107
Batting - Middle Order 13,696 12,243
Batting - Tail 6,902 4,945
Bowling - Seam 14,722 (20) 14,996 (20)
Bowling - Spin 14,237 (30) 13,994 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 17,829 17,483
Overall 259,213 248,662

Result: Pakistan won by 5 wickets
Toss: UAE won the toss and elected to bat.
Man of the match: Rais Armanjani (3 points), Jalal Awais (2), Mu'adh Khaleel (1)

Our Best:
Rais Armanjani - a wonderful unbeaten 70 including 5 fours and a maximum!

Mu'adh Khaleel - 3 wickets from the quick in an innings where we only took 5 in total.

Gadil Mukhtar - 26 runs and 3 catches.

Amir Alam - 2 wickets, the only other bowler to have an impact.

Alam Nu'man - a patient 54 runs for the opener.

A disappointing loss today after the success of yesterday. The bats did okay but the bowlers just didn't have the impact they would have hoped for.

Around the Ground:
Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh 4 wickets.

Netherlands beat USA by 82 runs.

Pakistan sit top of the tree with 2 wins, everyone else one win and Bangladesh holding up the ladder with a winless start to the tour.

Tune in tomorrow as we take on Bangladesh.

Home Zimbabwe
Away UAE
Ground Caradon Hill
League Nat One Day 3
Date 02 Feb. 22 02:00
Crowd 20,000
Weather Humid
Pitch Dry

Zimbabwe UAE
Batting - Top Order 14,354 13,994
Batting - Middle Order 10,814 13,420
Batting - Tail 4,907 5,326
Bowling - Seam 14,334 (20) 13,665 (20)
Bowling - Spin 14,665 (30) 14,074 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 17,305 17,496
Overall 239,972 247,674

Result: UAE won by 114 runs
Toss: UAE won the toss and elected to bat.
Man of the match: Abu Reda (3 points), Rakin Yousif (2), Zaid Abbas (1)

Our best:
Abu Reda - 55 runs at just better than a run a ball. Great going to get our total to something defendable for the bowlers.

Rakin Yousif - a gritty 59 for the new found star. What a debut tour the lad is having. Averages 74 at National OD after his two showings so far this week.

Zaid Abbas - only 14 with the bat but 4 wickets for the all rounder. In conditions that didn’t really suit him.

Nawfal Shadi - a handy 15 runs with the bat and then took 2/21 off 7 overs.

HUD Sam - 2/21 off 5 overs for the Leggie.

Some gritty middle order batting and some handy tail runs saw us almost bat out the 50 overs and post a great score (220). The bowlers never really let Zimbabwe have a look at chasing down the total. Bowling them out within 31 overs for a big win!

Around the grounds:

Netherlands beat Pakistan by 101 runs
Bangladesh beat USA by 69 runs

The Dutch, UAE and Pakistan all sit with 2 wins after 3 matches. The Dutch have the best NRR (+1.0), compared to ours (+0.8) and Pakistans (0). The rest of the pack sitting on one win and NRRs -0.6 or worse.

However the top 3 have all played each other so winning the last 2 games will be crucial.

We play USA (currently 6th) and then Bangladesh (4th).
Netherlands play Bangladesh and then Zimbabwe (5th).
Pakistan play Zimbabwe and then USA.

Tune in tomorrow as we keep the dream of promotion alive!

Some early Khaleel magic had USA 2/14 in the 5th over.

They’ve rebuilt a bit to get to 9/171 in the 42nd over.

Let’s get this last wicket and get to the run chase. Let’s hope our batters brought their big boy bats today.

This one might go to the wire.

Rolled for 133 in the 45th over.

But had Bangladesh 2/8. They’ve recovered a little to be 2/30 in the 12th over.

Constant wickets needed if we are to defend.

Pakistan are defending 268 on a dry deck and have an early wicket.

Zimbabwe are 1/31 after 8 chasing 215 on a dry deck also.

The lads turn it on for a great win!

But I think the Dutch will win and take second on NRR :/

Sorry all missed the last two matches last week.

Tour wrapped up with UAE in 3rd, missing out on promotion on NRR. Netherlands and Pakistan promoting.

HUD Sam was the best player (based on fantasy points) from all nations for the tour. 283 fantasy points from his 4 matches coming from his 12 wickets, 2 catches and 36 runs.

Huds 12 wickets the best for the tour.

Zaid Abbas 4/28 the best individual return.

Debutant Rakin lead the way with the bat for us, 155 runs from 4 innings. His 89 the best score for our tour. He was second for overall runs and best score by exactly 2 runs to the same person.

Mukhtar lead the comp with his 8 catches with the gloves.

Alright time to tune in as the u20s start their tour (games are 0800).
