Wages look low but skills look ok. Ideally I would want at least exceptional bowling. As of now he is 1 level behind in bat as well as bowl from the guy he would be competing in squad.allflattious wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 11:27 amHi all,
I just wanted to get an idea of where my player stands in terms of the Nat team, I know he's probably not there but potentially on the fringes regarding being called up the 30 man squad? I know his form is increasing his summaries for now. Can someone let me know? Thanks
Currently been training bowling for most of this season trying to get that exceptional pop.

First up, a merry Christmas to all.
The U20s have made it to their first World Cup for a few seasons..... of course.... we do have a tough job to do well... in reality we will likely be fighting for the wooden spoon. However, one can dream.
It would be great to see a bunch of Kenyan supporters checking out the games which start the Monday after Christmas. You can find our first match here with the game starting at 12:00 FTP:

It would seem to me that international managers are full of their own importance . Seem to think that we are all desperate for our country to win !
Far from it. most of us have little or no interest . you are simply managers for your own gratification .
You have the BEST squad players in the game , but still can not produce results > possibly making 21 bowling changes in a match , is a step too far ?

We are going into this tour with world cup qualification on the line. Any amount of support is appreciated. As for having the best squad players I hope that were true would make my job so much easier. I encourage you to pull Kenya to help us get there if you are a member.
My orders are quirky that way. You may check my team orders too. They have served me well so far. I invite you to join our setup and maybe help us with your strategic input.
Go Kenya

Having been given some information by several managers: and I responded with my comments.
I was then asked to post HERE
I also recall that you send out mail telling managers how you want players trained . AS if YOU know better .
You are deluded , only got the job because nobody else wanted it

Match Report: England U20 vs Kenya U20 - U20 One Day Match
Venue: Dry Crack Memorial Oval
Date: 9th September 2024
Result: England U20 won by 41 runs
In a thrilling encounter at the Dry Crack Memorial Oval, England U20 overcame a spirited chase from Kenya U20 to win by 41 runs, clinching victory in the 45th over.
England's Innings:
After being put in to bat by Kenya U20, England U20 posted a challenging total of 255-9 in their 50 overs. Opener S. Allsopp (39 off 59) and I. Furlong (48 off 71) laid a solid foundation for England with an opening partnership of 78 runs. However, Kenya’s bowlers pulled things back in the middle overs, with Z. Murungi (2-42) and C. arap Korir (1-32) leading the attack.
England's middle-order faltered slightly, losing key wickets, but D. McCoombe (42 off 54) anchored the innings before a brilliant late surge from R. O'Sullivan, who smashed an unbeaten 49 off 28 balls, helped England push their total to 255.
Kenya's fielding was sharp, with some excellent catches, particularly by A. Mugo, but they couldn't prevent the English tail from wagging in the final overs.
Kenya's Chase:
In response, Kenya U20 made a strong start, with C. arap Korir (37 off 44) and A. Murungi (9 off 20) looking solid early on. However, wickets at regular intervals, courtesy of disciplined bowling from England, kept the pressure on. D. Macpherson (1-16) and R. O'Sullivan (2-30) were among the wicket-takers, restricting Kenya to 47-2 in the early stages.
The middle order put up a brave fight, led by S. Orengo (45 off 61) and W. arap Chesire (37 off 52), who shared a valuable partnership. They looked like they might take the game away from England, but a series of quick wickets in the middle overs swung the momentum back in England's favor.
Despite some lower-order resistance from A. Mugo (22 off 18), Kenya’s innings began to unravel as they lost wickets at key moments, with England's bowlers maintaining their discipline. The run rate climbed, and Kenya were bowled out for 214 in 44.2 overs, falling 41 runs short of the target.
Key Performances:
England U20: R. O'Sullivan (49* off 28 & 2-30), D. McCoombe (42 off 54), I. Furlong (48 off 71), Z. Murungi (2-42)
Kenya U20: S. Orengo (45 off 61), W. arap Chesire (37 off 52), C. arap Korir (37 off 44), A. Mugo (22 off 18)
Summary:
Kenya U20's chase showed promise, particularly through their middle order, but the combination of England U20's tight bowling and Kenya's inability to capitalize on key moments led to their downfall. England's R. O'Sullivan was the standout player, contributing with both bat and ball, while Kenya's fight came up just short.

Statement from the Manager:
We fell short today, losing by 41 runs in the 45th over, but the team showed fight, especially with a solid start from the openers. Our lower order struggled, but it's something we’ll address in the next game.
As for J. arap Rono's selection over B. Mac Oilech, it was a tough choice, but we felt Rono's recent form and ability to contribute in both departments made him the right fit for this match. Mac Oilech remains a crucial part of the squad and will get his chance as we continue through the tournament. Every decision is made with the team’s best interests at heart
