Dilemma I want answers for

I'm in a dilemma I need answers for, I had a team which had deep batting, till number 10 with three all rounders playing. Now that most of the players are old and I'm switching to a team with a new player core I had this dilemma of should I continue with my tactics of having all rounders in the team to bat deep or should I go with a 6-5 specialist combo (6 batters including the wicket keeper and 5 specialist bowlers)? Please share your thoughts on this, thanks

I think you will get more enjoyment without them to be honest. Having depth in batting is a great boost for match ratings if your chasing sponsorship payments but it doesn't seem to be much of a match winner tactically. Your more likely to enjoy your bowler scoring some runs more than an allrounder getting low scores.

All-rounders are important in FTP, more so in the higher leagues. The issue is that because of is they are very expensive to buy in.
Personally for a squad I think you need at least 2 allrounders (of different bowling types) and a couple more of your bowlers who can 'bat in bit' - so not full allrounders but still have some batting. In an individual match you may only play 1 all rounder if it's a flat/even pitch, but naturally you are going to come across your share of bowler friendly pitches, and for those matches you'd be better off with playing 2 allrounders.

I used 5 all-rounders in a friendly SA vs Ireland tonight. Batted first and got a huge score 6/350. Didn't use all my bats and the sacrifice in bowling to have high ratings in batting has resulted in a bigger score for Ireland.

the key is to make sure your bowling is still as strong as it can be, with the extra batting
