My best batting recruit yet. How should I train him? How much would his rating be when he is, say, 19 years old? Is fielding training for 16 yo a thumb rule?
Gee, always love a good West Indian recruit. I think he'll make a solid bat with the starting primary and the talent. I'd go fielding first to capable/reliable based on the academy level you have. And given the gifted talent and the starting primary bat has, I'd stick him on batting tech most of his life as a youth, maybe a couple levels of power when he is close to 21, but that depends on how he looks at that point.

At the same time, I think this will be a U20 level batter and I think he can fetch a decent bit of cash on the TM if you aren't heavily youth focussed. Tough to gauge for 16yo's but I think he is a quality player.

I am new to game, can someone please help me train this player and does he have any potential with my academy level? Which is reasonable.

I'd put him on to batting training for now.
With a reasonable academy you get approx a 9% boost to training speed which equals about 9 days per season.

At least initially I'd go Batting Tech rather than Batting, to get that Technique level up.

Looks like he could be a decent prospect. Try to play him in your youth matches if he isn't playing already so his experience level increases.

I would put him on fielding till reasonable, then allrounder to see which of bat/bowl pops first. Then fielding till capable/reliable and depending which of bat/bowl popped you can decide how much of a batting allrounder you want, captain too so that's nice.

Hi All,

How would you train such player? I am interested to know your insights. Currently, I am planning to put him on fielding(Academy Level:-lavish).
Should I train him as batsman or as a bowler(Too low endurance IMHO for making him an allrounder)?

Regards
Raj

If you have the patience I would be tempted to go bowling with the gifted bowling
But the skilled tech will help the batting if you wanted to go that way
With fielding so low its a tuff call

Thank you for the tip. That indeed sounds a great plan. I will try to give him some matches to test what is his stronger suit and then maybe decide what option is better.

No he wont make internationals. If he was 21 he would have a chance.

Work his fielding first to at least expert, id recommend outstanding but your call.
Then get batting & tech to spectacular and from there work power up to spectacular
