For now am training his fielding.

Generally id say yes he is U20 potential but you would need to ask the sri lankan team specifically and it would depend on your academy level as well. Mediums are the most common bowler type so that works against him.

Training wise, get fielding to capable at least, reliable by the time hes 20. Then put him in allrounder and feel out where his bowl and tech are in relation to his batting.

Hi Jozien,

Left finger spin is nice, nearly 4k spare ratings and c.$1k wage - that's a pretty good recruit. However, I doubt he'd sell for a huge amount - maybe c.$20k. If you'd rather keep him, then I'd train him on fielding until around capable then reassess. If he has a technique pop in that time (ideally an endurance pop too) then I'd certainly consider an AR route. However, he could also be a useful bowler who could bat a little (batting either average/reasonable) if you'd rather a bit more bowling.

Just Popped in Technique to Exceptional what shud i do next

Yikes - he really needs training in Fielding and power. Not sure which to concentrate on first. The low power is less of an issue because he's at the age where power trains quite quickly, however getting that fielding up may be more difficult.

Assuming he's going to be your first choice keeper I'd stick him on Strength training for a while first - that'll get you the quickest improvement in his performance. Train him to Reliable maybe on Power, and then switch to fielding and try and get that up to reliable on that. Then switch back to power again.

No real need to train him any more on Keeping or batting, those are high enough as they are.

If you're going to keep him long-term, put him on power now for a few pops then fielding. The fielding is very low in comparison to his other skills.

If you plan on selling him, put him on fielding.

So i have abit of a dilema, my home grown team is 6-7 seasons old at this point. I've found myself with what seems like 4 really good wicket keepers, realistiically only need 1 or 2 long term.
Figured i'd post their details here to see which players people would keep / sell or train differently. Also 2 of them are in the youth team and my 2nd and 3rd best bats comfortably.

Sell the 19 year old and the 21 year old (2 and 3). I'd sell them immediately, unless you think they are close to a pop in a primary, as they'll be draining wages from your budget.

If you do want to keep the 21 year old, you really need to be training him on Fielding.

<edit> The start of the new season is often the best time to sell good players, as buying teams have larger budgets due to prize money, extra income from the cup matches etc. However we are still half a season away from the new season, so it depends on whether then 7/8x weeks of wages you are going to be spending is likely to be recouped in higher sale value, I'd sell immediately<edit>

100% need to train fielding straight away, probably for the next couple of seasons depending on your academy level.

He’s decent, good bowling type and useful talent, plus the power will help at youths quite abit.
You probably will get better ones but you also may not for awhile. I’d get his fielding to reasonable then go bowling tech for till tech and bowling are about the same. Then one level of fielding(or you could do that straight away) then back to bowling training.
