Hi all, there are a few players I have in my youth team about to go up to the senior team next season who I will want to get rid of. I just wondered whether there were any pros/cons as to when is best to retire them (pre or post EOS)?

Thanks.
Always have a good final look before retiring them as they may be worth selling on the market. I normally retire my youth as the season progresses, meaning i play them as juniors up to the age of 20.14, I see no 20yr olds in your squad so i presume you have retired them already?

THe fact that this is even discussed is a flaw in the game for me. Such a "no mans land" for players from 20 to 25 or so. Never know what to do with them other than punt them.

I don't think its like that at all really. For instance your fella just turning 25, Craven Moorehead. He has played 59 senior matches, more than 4 full seasons, and there is plenty more like him. Its true that not all juniors will play thru to seniors but that's more due to lack of skills. players in that age range normally find there way into various senior sides through the transfer market where they get further training and match experience, normally in lower divisions.

I've messaged you with my take on how to set my batsmen but i'm sure there are many other variations that work for some teams and not others. Theres a few Influencing factors such as experience, player variation in the lineup, pitch type, weather, bowling strength compared to your batsman and a decent amount of luck.

What's an acceptable starting level for a youth pull that's worth keeping?
