International Managers & Elections

It appears that the appeal of the international game is DEAD , probably only about 50 people out of thousands actually look up international results.
Nobody cares other than the managers themselves .
Most players hate internationals , losing a star player and get miserable compo > whilst his own team loses 4 point. . faces possible relegation or misses out on promotion .
Recent yth election shows a complete lack of interest as 16 out of 20 managers got elected unopposed

True, random idea, instead of players by Nationality, change it to teams based in whatever league become the nations,
Or get rid if new format flops, we do have 2 new nations/ new format soon

I understand how you feel this way but I think its not quite like you think.
Its more like 200-300 who look up results of the 36, soon to be 40 different National sides including youth. Out of a total of approx 1100 managers. Of the 20 elected positions decided recently 7 new managers took over, and yes 4 positions were contested. The interest and turnover of managers has actually increased in recent seasons whilst voting has dropped off. Obviously a lot more needs to be done to improve interest further and work is in progress.
As has always been the case, if you have a player selected for a squad you can notify the National Manager that you wish to keep him available for your club matches. They usually oblige but it is not a common request at all.
There has been an increased interest in recent seasons with more new assistants getting involved with national sides each season. There are requests for assistants in the forum and consistently on discord with most positions filled.
If you want to see what the "fuss" is about with International sides and management you are welcome to join us at the SA senior side for a few weeks and see what you think? You might end up nominating in an election.
More managers are getting involved in International sides but interest in elections is waning. Perhaps the nomination and election process needs a review.
Aside from that there are a few changes coming up in the next few seasons which will likely increase interest further.
Send me a message in game if you are interested.

Typical boscorp reply full of it...making things up and not aware of what is going on .
Alex speaks from experience in international managment and recent talks with Admin. .
Asking managers not to pick your players is NOT an option , they just ignore you and do as they please .
Explain why 16 managers got through election unopposed
INTERNATIONALs are boring and of little interest to the majority of people who play this game

Are you still trolling? I thought you left the game robin. Why don't you log out of that computer and let AlexD log back in.

If you resort to name-calling, you will be banned.
And for the record, Alex asked why there were several lone nominees. I informed him that several nominations were deemed invalid. Not sure that is a sign of disinterest, but more likely a lack of comprehension or even a language barrier.
And not sure where this 52 comes from, but more than double that, checked the election results page. Many more only check their country page, as they are only interested in who won that election.

I do not know where 52 came from / where do you see that .?
Boscorp why do you continually allow him to insult Robin . Previously he implied cheating as accused him of changing his name . now he calls him a troll , when he is no longer in the game . He needs to watch his mouth . This coming from a guy who is all over the forum like a bad rash .
Please deal with HIM .

Ok let us get back to the subject matter and stop talking about some manager .he is not worth it.
alex raised some good points and despite any protestations by the Bossman , international cricket in this game is going down the drain .
It holds no interest for the majority of managers and results > no interest .
The only interest is when your players get selected , and you can not use them . That is a BIG blow to most managers whose team suffers .
get miserable compo > DOUBLE THAT and you might get more support.
These managers even mail you to request you change their training ...that is annoying ..as if they know better.

YOU ALWAYS PROTECT boscorp . Why is he special to you .?
On a previous topic he accused my dad of changing his name , now on here he states that he is a troll .
YOU KNOW HE HAS LEFT THE GAME AS HE DOES . . yet you permit him to slag off a 78 yr old man who no longer plays in this game .because of you .
PS .. I never mentioned 52 .
I am sorry Alex. My response was actually directed at karlwepener. I actually had a few good conversations with your dad from around 2022-24 over some topics. The name changing incident was more an observation than an accusation when Challenger posted last month about an issue involving your dad and stated that Robin had left the game. I noticed his club was still active but the username had been changed. I was unaware that he had handed his club and password over to another person. It was not obvious to me, I thought he had changed his username (can you see the confusion).

The international format adds another element to the game , and makes it more interesting.
Managers who are upset at losing players to Internationals just need to accept it!

Typical response by an international manager . he simply does not care about your team > SELFISH
Boscorp thinks differently !!

How long have you been playing the game? because unless you were one of the first managers then it's has always been like this, why not just say you want it changing for selfish reasons.

me selfish . NO > annoyed . YES .
I am the one who has recruited/bought the player > I am the one who spends money on Raising my Acadamy > I am the one who trains the player.
YOU HAVE NO INPUT on any of that . YOU just come along and take my player , BECAUSE YOU CAN and do NOT care what effect it has on my team
YOU ARE THE ONE THAT IS SELFISH.
This has a knockon effect on how players feel about International teams and managers , with your attidude..,
Alex started this topic because he felt the same way , and was pointing out the decline in the interest in International Games etc .etc .
I been playing 15 yrs , and know that this has been going on for years . Possibly if management DOUBLED the compo . we might take more interstional set up.
But as I see it there is a HUGE decline in any interest in International Games . only international managers enjoy it . they get to play with the best players in their country FREE OF CHARGE

A simple Yes would have been fine.
The rules have been in place since you started playing the game, and just because you don't like them is basically tough.
You choose to train your players in a certain way that makes them suitable for International teams, therefore you have to suffer the consequences.
You need to man up, pick up your toys and deal with it.
