1. For sponsorship changes, it reads "If you play a weaker side and rate below the minimum ratings for the division but still win or tie the game then you are deemed to be competitive and will receive the payment for being so." If I rate below minimum ratings but win, and am playing a stronger side, will not get sponsorship for that week? How is "strong side" calculated -- based on ratings? Standings in the league table?

2. As above, if I play a weaker side and win, I get sponsorship for that week, even if I fall below minimum team ratings. Does that change if the team I beat is a bot team?

You are overcomplicating it. If you win or tie, you are good and receive full sponsorship. If you lose, make sure you are above the minimum ratings to receive full sponsorship

4. I don't understand what the second column is showing in the chart that shows new academy level upkeep costs. If there is just one academy, what does the column titles "Ttl of 2 academies" show?

Column 2 shows what it will cost to run double academies now prior to the changes.
IE to run double deluxe it currently costs 239k but under the new system it will be cheaper at 210k

A few questions regarding the financial changes, which I did not see answered elsewhere. Apologies in advance if those answers do exist elsewhere.

The weaker part refers to your own team.
The basic rule is regardless of MR if you win or tie then you get the extra sponsorship.
If you lose and rate above the min MR for your div then you also get the sponsorship.
If you lose and rate below the min rating then you don't.
Your opponent does not come into the calculation.

And that second column was the cost of the 2 academies at the time I prepared the numbers as a guide for people to see the savings by combining similar level academies.

My guess is the game logs the rating at the time of listing, and he plopped in something on the Wednesday whilst on the list.
The drop in 400 or so is the half level he plopped in something (so ~500pts) then gained 100 or so back from training

If you notice when you search for age by weeks on the TM, then people listed during the age update still show up in your search (i.e. I search for 17.00 as a cutoff, 17.01 players will show if they were listed prior to aging), so I think details are logged at listing point rather than selling

And that is what happens, the player gets saved to the transfer tbl and it references from there
It allows us to search by transfer going back to the start

Just saw the announcement about the debt week counter being reset for those with debt less than $100k/four weeks of debt accrual.

I understand that EoFY is coming up and there's some spicy new taxes coming up next financial year.

Just curious about the rationale to reset the counter and also if you could give a rough estimate of players this actually benefits/impacts?

it was about 56 players, still 90 left with weeks in debt


As far as the rationale, we understand people will be trying to get things set for the new season and want to help those out that are not majorly in debt and in many cases by the EOS after prizemoney will be back in the black.
The rest are either too far in debt or have been in debt for well more than 4 weeks.

And I wouldn't say taxes, more like opportunities to make more money

I personally don't like venturing anywhere near $0 or negative money but understand that some people run the calculators and go into debt for 4 weeks leading into the Cash Money Winfall at EOS.

helps my main a fair bit the new rule, though I think I might've solved the issue with the a few sales and UAE gifting me 50k. Ran into the high-wage problems in my first season in Div 2, cutting the barely survivable budget far too thin. I mean, crowfan could've solved this issue by just giving me one decent nat-quality WI youth recruit after 2 years in the game but guess this is something...
