Re: Open Forum (Ask GMs)
Can the training section of the Game Manual be updated to include the changes made EOS 51 regarding hard caps on the squad limits?
The manual still suggests all players will recieve some sort of training if over the limit whilst the update in the forum states otherwise.
The following is part of the announcement from EOS49.
SQUAD LIMITS
The current squad soft cap or limits as it is called sometimes will be changed from 22 and 23 respectively for the two academies to 25 for each of them. The penalty for having more than 25 in either squad will increase to 7.5% per player.
After 2 seasons when we get to EOS51 they will be hard caps, which means if you have 25 players in a squad you will not be able to purchase a player relevant to the squad over the limit.
You will be able to do a YR but they will not receive training or play until you fire/sell a player to make room for them. They will be in limbo until you make room, you have until Sunday at 21:00 FTP time to do so. If not then the player will be transfer listed
Players promoting from your youth team will be added to your senior squad but they will not receive training or play until you fire/sell a player to make room for them. They will be in limbo until you make room, you have until Sunday at 21:00 FTP time to do so. If not then the player in question will be transfer listed.
Any player in 'limbo' will have the wages paid should there be a finance update
If you do your Youth recruit on Sunday then you will only have a few hours to fix it if your squad is already at 25

Re: Open Forum (Ask GMs)
The absolute hardcap has not come in yet, there was an issue with the coding the way we wanted it to work.
Stay tuned as it will be announced next season that the HC will be coming in a slightly different form

The Agony of Losing Cricket Matches on the Last Ball
Cricket, often known as a game of uncertainties, can bring immense joy and excitement to fans. However, it can also bring heartbreak and disappointment when matches are lost in the most nail-biting fashion. This is precisely what happened in a recent T20 cricket , where team lost two matches on the last ball in two consecutive days.
The Close Calls
The match 6777302 first match was a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Team fought bravely, putting up a competitive total on the board. The match went down to the wire, with the opposition needing two run off the last ball to win. Unfortunately, they managed to get a boundary on last ball , snatching victory from our grasp in the most heartbreaking manner.
The disappointment of losing in such a close encounter was palpable among the players and fans alike. However, there was little time to dwell on the defeat as the next match was just around the corner.
Déjà vu
The match 6774544 second match followed a similar script to the first, with both teams locked in a tense battle till the very end. Once again, it all came down to the final ball, with the fate of the match hanging in the balance. This time too, luck was not on our side as the opposition managed to edge past us with a well-timed shot, sealing another heart-wrenching defeat for our team.

Will there be any announcement this season? That was clearly stated here that there will be.GM-crowfan65 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 4:23 amThe absolute hardcap has not come in yet, there was an issue with the coding the way we wanted it to work.

Has been well overdue for several seasons now.
The only way that a team should exceed this limit is either through youth recruitment or through youth promotion as it is a training penalty, should not be able to affect the market by bidding with an already full squad.

Re: Open Forum (Ask GMs)
I think people over estimate how many are breaching that cap
4% are over in just seniors (more than a third are in the neg bank balance)
Just over 5% are over just youths (just under 20% are in neg)
<1% are over in both (only 1 is in the neg)
Of all these teams only 2 bids on the TM where made

So there is no announcement as was stated?
This is week 14, I think you are underestimating the effect especially throughout the season.

Re: Open Forum (Ask GMs)
Well the issue that I was trying to point out is incorrect EOS announcements. With this one it was announced season 49 to come into effect season 51. Here we are season 58 and it's is still not in place. Never been mentioned again until my recent enquiry?GM-crowfan65 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 8:26 amThe bigger issue is potentially the diminished trng on the better players
Your still defending your inaction by saying it's a only a minor issue. I'm sure plenty believe it was enacted and plenty know it wasn't. How many overcrowded academies are there exploiting the misleading announcement and not getting any of the penalties? Forget the bidding as they are likely in the red anyway.

I think it's worth remembering that Crowie does this for nothing and without him, the game likely would have closed a long time ago...boscorp wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 10:56 pmWell the issue that I was trying to point out is incorrect EOS announcements. Re: Open Forum (Ask GMs)
It has nought to do with if crowie does it for nothing or not. Ther are plenty of managers paying $12 a season or $40 a year toward upkeep of the game. Wether he gets a cut or Not doesn't bother me. I just expect announcements to be correct or corrected in a reasonable time. 5 seasons or more is a bit much.Fgrenyu wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 11:23 pmI think it's worth remembering that Crowie does this for nothing and without him, the game likely would have closed a long time ago...boscorp wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 10:56 pmWell the issue that I was trying to point out is incorrect EOS announcements. Re: Open Forum (Ask GMs)
We are currently looking for another programmer to help as our current one is busy with his paid work and whilst I have learnt a lot I am not good enough to do some of the stuff we want to do. As soon as we can we will get this done.
My point in response to Turbz was to show whilst it is an issue it isn't a massive issue as some may think

I have seen several bids each week in my very limited time, and was much discussion about it on discord which prompted you into a certain comment.
Even I have made more than 2 bids this season.
