I don’t think the discussion needs to be moved. As long as everyone is respectful, it is an important topic to discuss and should be open to opinions from everyone (and not everyone is on the discord).
I feel the 10% figure is possibly diminishing those who have an active interest in the nat scene without a formal role. There are plenty of “silent” national supporters who recruit and train national standard players and care about their success at Nat level. These managers are crucial to the National communities as there simply wouldn’t be the talent pool without them.
I think you raise an important point there in that there isn't a black-and-white dichotnomy of people who are fully invested in the international game versus people who don't want to be involved at all. As I said earlier in my text wall, I have no real interest in managing or getting seriously involved, but I am happy to have players in my squad who are international players and very open to requests from the national managers to train them in a particular way, as long as it doesn't diverge too far from what best suits my club.
I know this is a controversial topic, and again this is my personal opinion and doesn't necessarily reflect the admin team as a whole or the direction the game is headed. But I think it would be better if players were always available for their club and could play international matches concurrently with separate fatigue (and, perhaps, form). I know that is less realistic and would probably be very complex to code, but I think the fact that players end up unable to play matches for their club is the main source of annoyance some managers have towards the international scene - it intrudes upon their own club management too much. No amount of compensation is going to make you happy if, say, you lose a match that ends up deciding a championship or promotion/demotion because your best player wasn't available.

This topic is somewhat contrived to negate my previous topic .
Suggest that it is closed down as is appears that Discord is the place to be as suggested by MOD-MrMoose , and crowfan65 to me .
Take it there > I will not be there so you will be safe .
The reason this topic is open and being discussed and yours was closed was that in yours, people were forcing their own opinions on others and personally attacking one another. It was not being discussed in a constructive or helpful way. Here, we are having a respectful adult conversation, trying to take into consideration everyone's points of view (including those who are interested in international cricket and those who aren't), and looking for solutions that will satisfy everyone as far as possible.
I would suggest you re-read both topics and look for the differences in the way people are talking and treating one another. This may help you learn to make your own points better in the future, in a way that's constructive and won't upset people.

I am not averse to this, but it needs to be discussed with the other admin to make a final decision

Since my clubs don't have the solid base required to go for div 1, the nats give me something to work towards: getting players to represent their nation. It goes well with the joys and woes of going homegrown (with my affiliate). I think the game could do with a revamp of how fatigue and experience work and how the nats fit into the season, but I am happy to tinker a bit here and there.

Speaking primarily as a user here, not as an admin.
I can pipe up here as someone who isn't really involved in the international game. (I have helped out before because I was asked to and had the spare time, but it's never been my thing.)
To me it's nothing to do with rules, structures or anything preventing me from getting into it. I just don't want to. The attraction of FTP for me is being able to manage my own side, develop my own players, make decisions about my own squad and so on. The whole concept of managing or contributing to an international side just doesn't really interest me - it's not why I signed up to play the game.
There are people (Basto, for example) who are the opposite - it's the international game they're interested in and they wouldn't play the game if it was just club management. That's fine - that's great, in fact, for the health of FTP that different people have different reasons to enjoy it. I feel like the majority of users probably are like me, though, in that their club takes priority and internationals are just something that happens off to the side that they're not very interested in. FTP, after all, is advertised and marketed as a game where you manage your own club. That's what people come into the game wanting and expecting.
If there's anything that would raise the profile of international cricket in FTP, I'd say, it might be making it explicitly a part of the game's marketing. The front page already says, "National teams, with human management - will your youth recruit be good enough to make the International level?" Maybe that could be changed or something else could be added along the lines of "will you win the election and lead your nation to World Cup glory?" That might get the idea of international management as a goal/aspiration into the minds of starting users rather than just relying on word of mouth.
But meanwhile, I think we also have to accept that out of everyone who plays FTP, a percentage of the community will just not be interested in the national side - and that's fine.
Omg this post makes me so sad, I loved having you on the team and we won a WC

LOL this Topic is a joke completely comtrived . memo must have gone out to get the MODs to contribute as well as international managers .
FACTS. still remain .........
Recent yth election shows a complete lack of interest as 16 out of 20 managers got elected unopposed.
Bad comments by wolfberries > Managers who are upset at losing players to Internationals just need to accept it!. Did not help the the image of International managers .
According to crowfan > 10% is 113 managers currently, with 38 teams soon to be 40, which is about 3 per team. I think those with active interest would be about righ....yet only 2 international managers joined in the previous Topic .
Also according to crowfan > All it proves is the forum is dead, most managers are on discord and have been for a while.
Now we are told he will not close this topic ..WHY ?
Why not take it to Discord where all the action is ??
