Frustrating, puzzling and disappointing day... :thumbsdown :thumbsdown

Netherlands bowled well and kept our score low....too easy for them to defend. Our seam bowlers just werent good enough. Its not over yet but we have to win well tomorrow and hope results go our way....NRR is our problem.

Currently examining the whole process to see if anything could have been done differently to win at least one of the Green pitch matches that we lost.

Green pitches were very unkind to us during my reign. Never quite found the right selection and/or tactics. Good luck tomorrow.

Dont think we had the strength in depth with the seamers...trying to rectify that going forward but its tough as we have loads of good spinners.

Another good win, South Africa this time. Colreavy top scoring again with 57 which made him the top run scorer in our Division. A valuable 44 was added by our skipper, Ndlovu with the 3 spinners, Makhanya, Mofokeng and Rabie all taking 3 wickets.

3 wins out of 5 games was just just not enough with us missing out by 0.11 on NRR. The terrible result against Canada ultimately was the deciding factor. Disappointing end in not promoting but we played well and showed alot of promise. :thumbsup

Thanks again for your support :D :clap

6 out of the last 7 one day tour defeats for Zimbabwe U20s have been on green pitches.

Good luck in the remaining tours.

Hi

The U20s 20/20 is coming up. I dont expect a lot from this tour as it will be played on seamers pitches. Gives a few young ones a bit of experience though

A little disappointing so far however 2 games to go.... we can win these games and take something from the tour

A really close game today against Canada that I knew was going to define our tour. Unfortunately it didnt go our way losing by 2 runs.

Another Tour over with mixed feelings....

Disappointment at where we finished in the table...2nd bottom

Pleased with many performances...games were close and we had players that gained experience for the next One day tour.

Viyusa Mujura finished 3rd in the batting stats scoring 149 runs

2 of our fast bowlers Biddy Devoy and Barrie Forssberg both took 5 wickets wickets.

Thanks for your continuous support.

Great win today! Chasing 275 on Green is a fantastic way to start the tour.

Yes I agree...Last ball win. I thought the match was very tight all the way but some very good batting performances got us there.

Marimo opening with 43, young future star Mlambo 52, Ryan 69 off 66 balls and then Ray-Jones finishing off with 43 off 27 balls but it was an all round great performance by the whole team on a Green pitch which historically isnt good to us. :clap

Roll on USA tomorrow,

Yes thats right Chepu....Shezi's innings of 65 off 98 balls was the backbone of another Zimbabwe victory after an amazing bowling session by all 5 bowlers....Muzadzi was the star of the show with 5 wickets and he also hit the winning run.

Another tight game but we have South Africa tomorrow which means we have to raise our game to another level

:clap :clap :clap
