Another tour ends and it's another tour where we haven't promoted unfortunately with 2 wins and 3 defeats.

I've really enjoyed being a national manager, but it perhaps needs a fresh view with our squad and tactics so I won't be reapplying for the job at the end of the season. Whoever wants and gets the job will have my full support if they have any questions. In the next few weeks I'll still be working hard to get players involved in friendlies and sort out a squad with new players who are eligible for the first tour of next season.

Thanks very much for voting me in twice for the job.
Sad to see you go mate, you have been very unfortunate these past few tours. All the best though mate.

Cal

Thanks for the messages. I'll be taking an assistants role with the seniors after the elections are done. I still want to see Zimbabwe succeed.

Hi

Thank you for the votes you would have given me had there been a challenge. Its an honour to be part of Zimabawe U20s future...hopefully the pheonix will rise again from the ashes.

I am pleased that FritzNL has agreed to stay on as Assistant. He has been a great source of advice for me over the past few years.
Fearless is on board as well. He will be a great addition to the team and his primary role will be to work with managers to ensure we get the best training results out of players potential.

Looking at our current and future squads we have some great players, the future looks good.
Thank you, any questions please do not hesitate in shouting at me as we would like better communication between all of us...Lets Go Forward Together....

Andy

I have had a week to look at where we are with squad. The party for the next tour is 80% confirmed so if you require information on whether your player will tour please give me a shout.

Going forward squad minimum requirments set by current training standards.

Primaries need to be Expert as well as Technique.

Fielding has to be Capable as a minimum.. Reliable is Ideal.

Keeping, Expert and it looks like Expert Batsman and Tech will be require although Skills may alter this as it may be preferencial to take a Keeper as a batsman only.

Remembering that International matches are 50 overs and we play 5 in a week Endurance would be preferable and Experience is always nice.

Cheers Andy

I thought Sakara was batting too low. Glad he saved the team from that position and disappointed he didn't go hard at end to try and get a 💯

It was a great start, hopefully we will build on that win as confidence is high. Schuurman steadied a sinking ship after we lost our openers for only 9 runs. Sakara's superb innings with support of O'Leary certainly gave our bowlers something to bowl at. 4 wickets for Rabie put UAE on the backfoot. Different pitch and conditions tomorrow but this enables us to have fresh bowling lineup.... Thanks for the continued support from all involved managers

An extremely disappointing day against Canada. Our bowlers just didnt perform, perhaps the orders were too aggressive in hindsight in the hot weather... The only high points of the day were an excellent 106 by Colreavy and 4 wickets for all rounder Cullinan although very expensive. Other results kind of went our way but this result makes our task harder.

That was a huge score. Not much that the bats could have done. Haven't seen the orders but I assume you were as agressive as you would have been normally on that pitch. Hot weather needed bowling to be more defensive.

Good luck for next game and hope you bounce back immediately :thumbsup

Well it was a team decision but yes a little too aggressive. Our batsmen did well but unfortunately the game had already gone

A better day with a great win over Ireland who I actually think are a better side than their 4 points show.
The whole team contributed well with solid innings from Mujuru(69) and Biar(84).

Promotion is wide open with 4 teams on 8 points so tomorrow is a massive day for the current side but we are in good form and past lessons have been learnt so onwards and upwards :thumbsup

Good luck in the last two matches. Would be good to get that promotion and stay up (or even go up again).
