1st game vs Pakistan on a Dry pitch with Sunny conditions

Pakistan won the toss & elected to bowl first.

Bangladesh started steadily, with I.Mabud and M.Wadud both contributing 15 runs each before departing. F.Mortaza's 40 off 32 balls provided some much-needed impetus to the innings. Despite losing wickets in blocks, key contributions from S.Mabud 27 (19) and H.Singh 15 (14), helped Bangladesh post a reasonable total of 143/6 off their 20 overs.

In response, Pakistan started positively with some quick runs scored by S.Shahnawaz before being dismissed by K.Gazi. N.Bakht 31 (31) & H.Razaq 32 (36) provided some resistance as the game remained evenly poised until the second half of the innings. Bangladesh's bowlers tightened their grip on the match with M.Ashraful turning the game on its head with a remarkable spell, taking four wickets in a single over to decimate Pakistan's batting lineup, restricting them to 115 all out off 18.3 overs. 2nd game vs New Zealand on a Slow pitch with Cloudy conditions

Bangladesh won the toss & elected to bat first.

The home team got off to a brisk start with I.Mabud scoring 21 runs off 13 balls. However, we were pegged back a few times including a double strike by Jade Maxwell which halted Bangladesh's momentum, leaving us struggling on 60/5 off 10 overs. With the help of a partnership between V.Jaffer 34 (34) & H.Singh 48* (29) with the latter contributing to a late blitz Bangladesh went on to post a score of 141/6 off 20 overs.

In response, New Zealand began their innings cautiously, losing a early wicket to Bangladesh's bowling attack. H.Sa'u 23 (18) and R.Webber 28 (24) steadied the ship with a crucial partnership. Despite further breakthroughs by Bangladesh, including dismissals by S.Mamun and R.Jilani, New Zealand capitalized on some lapses in fielding and poor wicketkeeping to chase down the target. C.Bowes 39 (36) & M.Conway 39* (28) helping New Zealand over the line as they finished on 142/5 off 19.3 overs, winning by 5 wickets.

Post Tour Review: Bangladesh Triumphs Against The Odds

Bangladesh entered the tour as underdogs but rose to the occasion, winning the Division 2 title. Despite being outrated in most games, they capitalized on hosting rights and adapted well to different conditions. Clinching the title by a single ball against UAE showcased their resilience. Despite a loss to New Zealand, Bangladesh's overall performance was impressive, earning them qualification for the next Twenty20 World Cup with a tour to spare as we promote to Division 1. This victory highlights their growing strength and determination in international cricket.

The final OD tour of the season is rapidly approaching, presenting managers with their last chance to assert their players claims, as we seek to assemble a squad of potential World Cup contenders.

Post Tour Review: Bangladesh win the unlikeliest of titles

Bangladesh embarked on this tour with a unique approach, being the only nation to select World Cup eligible players only and offering opportunities to some uncertain individuals. Despite being outrated in every match except against Australia, the team displayed resilience.

The journey began on a challenging note with a loss to India, but we quickly bounced back, defeating Australia in a controversial manner before upsetting UAE in game 3. Defeat to New Zealand meant the outcome of Division 1 goes to the final match day where all the teams were tied on 8 points. A memorable triumph against England secured the Division 1 title for Bangladesh ending Australia & UAE’s reign at the top.

Looking ahead, the World Cup at the end of the season presents new challenges. The touring squad may see changes. With valuable experiences gained, we're optimistic about our prospects on the global stage.
