1st game vs Netherlands on a Uneven pitch with Cloudy conditions.

Netherlands won the toss & elected to bat first.

The Dutch got off to a steady start with J.Hendrix and A.van der Gilchrist laying a solid foundation. Hendrix's composed innings of 58 runs off 89 balls and van der Gilchrist's brisk 64 off 71 balls propelled the Dutch side to a promising position, reaching 200/4 off 43 overs and looking set for a final flourish. However, a flurry of late wickets, including key dismissals of van der Gilchrist and Langeveld, derailed their progress. Despite the late setbacks, the Dutch managed to post a competitive total of 237/9 off 50 overs with S.Dhoni & T.Rafique grabbing 3 wickets each.

Bangladesh’s chase began on a shaky note with the early loss of a couple of wickets. However, a resilient partnership between I.Mabud and H.Singh steadied the innings. Opener Mabud provided crucial support with 65 off 88 balls & Singh's composed knock of 76 off 97 balls anchored the innings. Despite a little wobble with key wickets falling, T.Rafique 25* (27) and K.Rahman 20* (21) played vital cameos towards the end to help guide Bangladesh to a hard fought victory. Bangladesh finished on 238/5 off 47.5 overs, winning by 5 wickets.

Despite losing a few wickets, England maintained control of the chase, with captain A.Tunks leading from the front with an unbeaten 65 off 63 balls. Heading into the crucial final match of the World Cup group stage, Bangladesh currently sit 3rd in the table, with 10 points from 2 victories, 1 draw, and 1 loss. Their opponent in this decisive encounter is the table topping UAE. Both teams are vying fiercely for a spot in the semi-finals. A triumph against UAE would secure our passage into the semi-finals.

Final game vs UAE on a Hard pitch with Hot conditions.

Bangladesh won the toss & elected to bat first.

Bangladesh got off to a blazing start, opener I.Mabud led the charge with a magnificent century, scoring 111 off just 100 balls, setting the tone for the innings. He was well supported by F.Khan, who contributed a valuable 41 runs, and F.Mortaza, adding 30 runs to the total. The highlight of Bangladesh's innings was the blistering knock by wicketkeeper M.Hassan, who smashed 96 off just 75 balls, propelling Bangladesh to a commanding total of 366/6 off their allotted 50 overs.

UAE had a shaky start, losing wickets at regular intervals. Despite some contributions from the top order, they found themselves struggling at 119/5 off 21 overs. However, W.Mohammed and R.Sameh combined forces to stage a fightback, putting on a commendable partnership. Mohammed scored 55 off 55 balls, while Sameh contributed a gritty 60 off 67 balls. Despite their efforts, the target proved to be too daunting as UAE eventually succumbed to the Bangladesh bowling attack. They were bowled out for 265/10 off 47 overs, falling short by 101 runs.

MOTM: WK M.Hassan 96 (75) & 3 catches

Match Ratings
Bangladesh U20 UAE U20
Batting - Top Order 9,818 9,893
Batting - Middle Order 8,808 8,719
Batting - Tail 3,893 6,175

Bangladesh face the mighty Australia in the semi-finals, on a dry pitch under sunny skies. It will require a monumental effort from Bangladesh to overcome such a formidable opponent. Nevertheless, the team is fully prepared and ready to give their all.
