First match was at home against Zimbabwe. We won the toss and elected to bowl.

Our bowlers did a great job in bowling out Zimbabwe for 217 in 49.5 overs.

Bowling standouts were M Majumder (lfs) 3-49 off his full ten overs, all other bowlers chipped in with wickets and reasonably economical. Great bowling effort all-round.

Batting was cruising until the loss of the second wicket which saw us go from 2-89 (20.4 overs) to all out in 46.1 overs for 185. A disappointing result.

Next game is against NZ on the 06th September. Wicket is Sticky, weather currently humid.

Second Macth versus New Zealand - Humid Weather, Sticky Pitch. We won the toss and elected to bowl.

Our bowlers did a great job in restruicting the New Zealnders to 197 in 50.0 overs. We did have them at 6 - 133 but a stubborn 7th wicket partnership add 64 runs. This was crucial and in the end made part of the difference.

Bowling standout was Sarkar (RFM) with 3-35 off his full ten overs. The rest of the bowling was serviceable, and Haque (lws) took 1-27 off his ten in an economical display.

Our batting though, crumbled to be all out for 145. Shankar and Malhotra managed to get into the thirties.

Our batters should do better and there is little doubt that I will need to do ore homework on what settings are required.

Next Match v Kenya - Uneven pitch under sunny conditions.

Overview of games against Kenya, India and Canada

A nice win over Kenya gave the side some hope for the remainder of the season after the first two losses. We won the toss and batted on an Uneven pitch / Sunny day, with Abedin and Monir shining with solid fifties in a score of 245. Our bowling has been the better part of our game and set about taking wickets (9 in total) and restricting the side to 230. Jadhav was the standout with 4 wickets.

Against India we managed to restrict the batters to 230, a decent score but achievable. For the bowlers, Azam stepped up with 3-51 off ten overs. Batting started shakily however Khan finally showed some form with a solid 85. A steady loss of wickets caused the mentum to swing against us and eventually we were bowled out for 203. Some disappointing result.

Last games was against Canada. Again our bowlers were great, restricting Canada to 214. Another achievable score. We started solidly in the batting with Shah and Shankar getting to mid thirties before our batting fell away and we were bowled out for 119. At one stage were we 1-63 (losing 9-56). This was certainly a left field batting performance.

End result of the series was 1 win & 4 losses. Room for improvement when the next tour commences.
