U-20 ODI Tour 2 Division 1
Game 1 vs UAE U20: Sri Lanka U20 won by 72 runs
Game 2 vs New Zealand U20: Sri Lanka U20 won by 28 runs
Game 3 vs Australia U20: Australia U20 won by 7 wickets
Game 4 vs Bermuda U20: Sri Lanka U20 won by 40 runs
Game 5 vs Canada U20: Canada U20 won by 6 wickets
After a good start to the tour with winning the first two games, we got unstuck against the Aussies but rebounded immediately by beating Bermuda to sit in first place on 12 points. A win would then secure us the title, while even a loss would be enough provided that the other teams sitting on 8 points did not win and cross our NRR, which meant we were in for a thrilling finale as except us no other Division 1 side was safe from relegation.
After some great final-day drama, Canada beat us in the 46th over, but very fortunately we had done just enough to keep our NRR above Australia, Canada, and Bermuda to secure the Division 1 title!
It also followed up well with our 2nd place finish in the last ODI tour, and it is also our first U20 Division 1 title since Season 36.
Top scorer for us and 4th top scorer of the tour was Arundika DIlruk with 236 runs.
Highest wicket taker for us and 3rd highest of the tour was Kiribaba Ikram with 7 wickets.
We also bid farewell to keeper Arundika Hameen and Fast bowler Kiribaba Ikram, who have been among the best players for us and performed consistently.
Focus now moves on to the World Cup, where we will be up against it with a young-ish bowling attack but we will be doing our best.

Re: Sri Lanka U20 National Discussions
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to let you all know that I will not be seeking a second term as the SL U20 Manager, and wanted to thank all of you for the support you have shown SL, whether it was pulling SL or training SL players.
The team overall did well in the past 2 seasons as we are now in Division 1 in both formats and even won the last ODI Division 1 tour in a tough group with the likes of Australia.
Even though our World Cup campaign was disappointing, with just 1 win from 5 games (Congratulations Juhasz on that win), the team is on the right track with some promising players coming through (We finally have some WS options yay).
Please continue to support SL and the new management team.
Regards,
WM

Sri Lanka U20 Manager
Hi all, just wanted to post something to get the ball rolling with my newly appointed position of U20 Manager,
Having joined at the end of 2023 I have managed to grow my own club to the point where I now consistently host at least 3 Nat level players at a time, Fully Thick is ranked 35 in the world at the time of this post. Unfortunately I am not a member so I am not able to pull Sri Lankan players only however the fact that I don't have a membership also means I don't have an affiliate and am able to treat the U20 team as such, therefore I will be able to dedicate alot of spare time to managing the prospects for future selection.
With all that being said I will be actively seeking 1-2 assistants to help fill some gaps and potentially help with strategizing game tactics, orders and squad selection, so if anyone is interested in helping out or even getting a taste of what it is like to be a part of the NAT scene please feel free to send me a message.
