Managed to sneak the win by 17 runs. Nice unbeaten hundred by Maynard to set a decent total of 279/8 on sunny/green.

any chance of reviving this venerable competition?
It usually brought a bit of banter and community spirit.

needs a sponsor I guess.

Minimum 16 teams, maximum 64 teams. First in best dressed. No idea who gets excluded if we get stuck partway between two lots. If we get really close to a threshold I'll try to fill it with other sides and reverse the first round result if needed (so it's effectively a bye).

I've invited every SL based side. I can't recall if we used to allow exceptions for others outside the leagues, but I think if you're a NAT manager/assistant and don't have a SL side you can enter one, and if you've got a lot of SL players in your senior squad (but aren't based in SL and don't already have a SL based side in the comp) you can enter that side. Would prefer to avoid managers having two entries.

No worries :) I enjoyed this, will try to get it up and running every season. Looks to be pretty popular with 35 entrants already.

To clarify this point, it is a residents only cup, so there's motivation to move your sides across to SL if you want to compete in the future :)

I hope we can get close enough to 64 where we can put some filler sides in there who will just be treated as a bye round.

That bottom half of the draw looks stacked with division 1 teams.
Some tough teams in the top half too, but I'm kind of happy where I landed.

Ball Busters are currently number one in Div 1 for both T20 and SOD. They've been great this season.

Maybe with a 32 team comp it could be run as a seeded comp? But on the flipside, gotta beat the best to be the best ;)

I'm through to R2, have drawn ucansee who is in both my senior leagues and beat me both times in the matchups this season

Sri Lanka will be coming back this season with a youth cup as well.

It will be open to managers with teams based in Sri Lanka, managers that are part of the Senior and U20 national management teams, and any teams with at least 1 Sri Lankan player in their Senior squad for seniors cup and Youth squad for youth cup.
