West Indies NAT Season 56 One Day World Cup Squad Announcement
The West Indian squad is heading to Bangladesh during the first week of the new year for the marquee 50-over World Cup. West Indies have been placed alongside the Proteas, the Indians, the Lankans, the Scots and the Bermudans in their group.

The eighteen lads set to tour this time include:

Left-arm Seamer Colin Kidney's services have been called upon for the slower surfaces we are bound to have this World Cup in the only debutant for the tourney. The attack comprises of two quicks, two fast-mediums, three dibbly-dobblers and a couple tweakers.

West Indies NAT Season 56 One Day World Cup Summary

The recently concluded World Cup saw us fall at the final hurdle, and fall rather dramatically as we were cleaned for 71 and stood no chance in the finals as the Indian side yet again conquered us in the finals after losing to us in the group stage after our colossal collapse in the Twenty World Cup finals during EOS 47.

Prior to that, a fair few lads were able to put in nifty performances in gathering five victories including an absolute humdinger against the United States of America in the semis.

George Maris and Lakka Teepee impressed with consistent runs whilst Dinanath Challenger and Dadrian Polius were regulars amongst the wickets. Andy Hampson and George John starred as our only fifer and century scorer playing a massive role in the classic semifinal.

This takes us to the next season and we'll be having elections next week. I'm not going anywhere and I'm not letting Bustergut leave either, and hopefully we can have another crack. If we do continue, we'll be on the lookout for a couple new assistants, preferably active managers that would like to have a look around and learn the nat scene.

Furthermore, the seniors cricket stadium has been renamed to Tobago Saucers Arena in celebration of their Division One title victory.

West Indies NAT Season 57 Update

West Indies have added DEVI to the assistant unit. They bolster a splendid record having assisted Kenya very recently if memory serves me correct. They are eager to join the West Indies unit and hopefully can be a nifty addition.

Furthermore, we have made some early season squad changes and brought in some younger names.

We have bid adieu to two splendid bats that also led the side wonderfully in Nichollas Rampersad and Kamal Walsh. To replace them, the squad now sees the addition of Tyrell Hoad, a brilliant keeper bat hailing from desert7's Gold Prospectors XI and Wayne Lewis, another southpaw from Rustars.

New-ball specialist Geoffroy Austin had limited opportunities with the side owing Joseph Graham's emergence but he had been very handy and so was the late bloomer in Andy White. Both fast-mediums have also been dropped and replacing them are Andre Quinn from Wools Wanderers and Peter Biley from Chesney Champions.

Furthermore, the squad sees an addition of another fiery quick in Space Wolves' Zahir ad-din Tughtikin and a wristie in Allmanna Idrottskulubben's Anthony Tekah.

The West Indian squad is heading to New Zealand for the first tour of the new term as the lads look to continue their consistency in the previous term and hopefully add some silverware in the cabinet after two heartbreak losses to the Indians in the Division One Tour and World Cup Final very recently. The Kiwis have bid for dry, crumbling and even decks for the upcoming week.

West Indies NAT Season 57 Updates
The Division One One Day tour ended as a mixed bag for the Windies unit. Wins over Australia and New Zealand ensured that despite a horrid end with three shabby losses, Windies were able to save face and survive in New Zealand. Runs from southpaws Nick Allflatt, Maxford Francis and George Maris were a part of the highlight reel as West Indies managed two class chases in games one and two against the oceanic nations. The bowling had rather shabby returns unfortunately but Peter Biley and Ernest Fraser did a good job to return home with six wickets at 18 and 13 respectively.

Next up, will be the Twenty-20 tour to the gloomy cold lands of England on crumbling, hard and dry decks. West Indies will be competing to ensure they can qualify for the Twenty-20 World Cup at the end of season.

Missed chucking in a summary of the T20 tour as i've been a bit busy, but we had a tough go of it. A game one loss to a brilliant fifer set us back in our quest to qualify for the upcoming World T20. We took out a couple wins and a tie against the Scots but Day 5 pressure told on us where we were in a must-win scenario against our friendly nemesis Bermuda. Disappointing returns as we finished champions and semi-finalists in the previous two editions of the competition, but the flaky nature of the shorter format alongside a poor Twenty-20 tour in the previous season implied that we failed to finish top twelve.

Up next, will be the One Day tour in a couple weeks, cheers:)

i mean i have lost the plot a bit from a comms side of things and i apologise.

doesn't help that we had a pathetic 0-5 tour to demote from division 1 after failing to qualify for the World T20, and had a barren off season. division 2 tour in a month-odd time before which there'll be the usual squad rehaul and stuff and hopefully i'll be better at pinging updates. feel free to message me here, ingame or on discord for any clarifications. cheers:)
