Season 51 - Rise and Rise of MRs

Post by GM-crowfan65 » Tue Apr 12, 2022 6:22 am

Welcome to Season 51 to all teams
South Africa has very much developed into one of the harder nations to progress but the challenges can be enticing.
Whilst I fell out of YOD1.1 for the first time in 9 seasons, I am 4 more titles in the black and 5 overall.
I am still in YT20 1.1 after taking my 4th title in the only 5 human seasons of that comp.
Also still in T20 2.1 and best of all back in SOD 1.1 for another go after falling short and relegating 2 seasons ago

Good luck to all except my opponents, may I crush you beyond recognition FUBAR

You've returned looking well prepared this time round crowfan, and you look as though you will be around for a few seasons to come with that squad.
For my club this season looks to be very difficult to avoid relegation in at least one of the senior comps. Once again I'll be looking out for a few upsets to come my way.
Have a great season everyone.

Whoops. You pulled a reffraff. Although if those are your seconds, we're in trouble when you roll out the first XI.

Hello folks:)
First time my side is in Division 2 and I've pulled off a decent 20k upset to start with a 8 run win. match 6065360 Expect this to be a very tough division for me, more sides rated 230k+ than I expected. Fingers crossed for survival.

In Div 3 in T20 and trying for promotion, beecee8 my biggest worry but good sides there that can pull off constant upsets in a T20.

With youths, most of my lads are 16/17 and training up so I'll try for any bite of the pm that I can get in Div 4 for now.

Already threw the mkmc rounds as I can't risk rotating and be out of Div 2.

There is a couple of firsts in there but Baer is almost my best bowler and played as a pure bat, exc summary so a fair 'second'

Good stuff mate. Looks like a tough Div 2. Maybe you can snatch a few wins while teams are competing in the cup.

Yep, exactly what I'm hoping. It seems to be the tougher of the two SA div 2's with 2 sides rating 150k and another rating 200k in that at the moment.

Somebody is now 3-nil up in Div 2 SOD and is awaiting how his luck is gonna run out soon. Staples rated 242k lost to GC Cobras rated 213k and opened a spot for me up top. Would rather have had Staples win I think and got through winning almost everything so that the other teams stay down enough and it is easier for me to survive.

Going to be one of those seasons for me. Forgot to set orders and played 3 spinners on uneven/humid. I've got a feeling this won't be the last time this season.

Hope it hasn't spoilt your cup run.
At least you had a strong default side set up. I was lucky to get the win. Your bowlers still did pretty well keeping me around the 150 score all out. The match was looking yours til then, especially as I only had the 1 pace bowler myself. Fortunately for me I managed a few early wickets and kept the pressure on til the end.
I'm happy to take the win. Anything to avoid relegation.
Good luck in the cup heppa.
