Date: 30th March, 13:00
Weather: Cloudy
Pitch: Hard
Pakistan lost the toss and were put in to bat as Bangladesh looked to make first use of the cloud cover in the fourth match of the tour.
With the collapse of the previous match still on their minds, the batsmen were cautious up front, scoring 49/1 in their first 10 overs. It was keeper Qazi Mulla and captain Ata Naseem that looked to provide some impetus as the innings went into the middle phases. They combined for an 85 run partnership at almost run a ball, with Mulla being the driving force. He top scored for Pakistan with 54 off 59 deliveries. Their efforts bore fruit, as Pakistan stood at a comfortable 169/2 at the 31st over mark. Things looked ripe for a strong finish. However, Bangladesh fought back, courtesy off Saiful Bishwash and Liton Aziz who counter punched with two wickets apiece, tearing the middle order apart. Pakistan's innings never recovered and the rest became regulation as Bangladesh cleaned up. The total ended up at a below par 231/10 in 45.2 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh lost two early wickets, with Pakistan's new ball bowlers making the ball talk. However, opener Zahed Bishwash resisted and he found an able partner in middle order bat Kashem Alam. The two joined hands in an expertly paced 113 run partnership off 112 deliveries. Both were eventually dismissed- Bishwash in the 28th over, Alam in the 37th. However, the damage had been done. At the end of the 37th over, Bangladesh stood at 206/4, 6 wickets in hand and the required run rate well and truly under control. Pakistan was unable to make any further inroads as the middle order guided their team to a successful chase. Ultimately, Bangladesh achieved the target within 41 overs, scoring 232 with only 4 wickets lost.
Bangladesh won by 6 wickets.
