The Pakistan Super League is a competition where franchises consisting of 5-8 teams each face each other in OD matches for the PSL Trophy.
Last season Karachi Kings led by Shahzaday11 won the title.

This season we will have 8 franchises with 7 teams each for now for a total of 56 teams.

Teams will be assigned an entire week to get their games done and each team captain or a designated representative has to post the links to fixtures in their respective forum threads.

Ex: Round 1 has to be played in FTP Week 8, Round 2 in FTP Week 9 and so on.
If teams have no free friendly slots then the match will be declared a draw.

Franchises have to play their matches by Sunday 23:59 FTP time, and games can be played any day of the week.
Ex: Round 1 is FTP Week 8, so all matches for this round have to be played by Sunday 23:59 FTP time.

Franchises are allowed to retain up to 3 teams (including themselves and affiliate teams) from last season.
Franchises will also have the ability to use one Right-to-Match (RTM) card.

This means that in the draft if a team played for them last season, and someone else won them in the draft, then they can use their RTM card and get them back in their franchise, while the draft will then be adjusted accordingly.

If picked for retention, teams will still have the choice if they want to stay in the same franchise or not.
So for example if Team A is retained by Quetta, but Team A wishes to leave Quetta, then they will be entered into the draft where anyone can pick them.

How the points system for franchises will work:

2 points will be awarded for a franchise win and 1 point for a franchise draw
For example out of 7 matches between Karachi and Lahore if Karachi win 4 and Lahore win 3, then the score will read as Karachi 4-3 Lahore.
Karachi gets 2 points in this case.
Individual wins and losses will also be recorded and used as a tie-breaker in case of a tie in the points table.

Franchises will be divided into 2 groups of 4 franchises each.

Each teams plays the others in their group once in the group stage (3 weeks).

1st of Group 1 plays 2nd of Group 2 and 1st of Group 2 plays 2nd of Group 1 in the semis.
3rd of Group 1 plays 4th of Group 2 and 3rd of Group 2 plays 4th of Group 1 in the playoffs.

Winners of semis play the final while the losers play for third place.
Third place teams in both groups play for fifth place while the bottom teams in both groups play for seventh place.

Winning franchise members will each be awarded either 1 month membership or 40 credits.

Rulings if teams cross the rating limits:

1: Team A vs Team B, If Team A wins but crosses the rating limit and Team B stays under the limit, then the result will be overturned and Team B will be declared the winner.

2: Team A vs Team B, If Team A wins and stays under the rating limit, and Team B goes over the rating limit and loses, then the result will stand.

3: If both teams cross the limit then the result will stand.

All matches will be played on Random pitch and Random weather.

If anyone exceeds their league match rating, then the result will be overturned regardless of the difference in match ratings between them and their opponent.

Example: Team A played Team B in the Gold league. Team A won but they rated 216k while Team B rated 200k. Team B will get the win as Team A crossed the Gold league limit of 215k.

PSL Management Team

1: Analyst (Writes the post-match summaries)

2: Match Referee (Checks the match ratings of the teams in the Diamond, Gold, Silver, YOD II, and YOD III leagues to see if anyone went over the rating limits and updates me accordingly)

3: PSL Manager (Sends the fixture list to all captains at the beginning of each week, for example, they will mail all captains the list for Round 1 on the first day of the week)

The main responsibilities of a captain are that they will be making sure that all of their teams have arranged their matches in each round, they or a representative creates a thread here in the forums for their franchise, and that they or a representative posts in the respective thread at least once a week or so.
