1st OD tour is going to kickoff.

we will be playing NZ on a sticky pitch where the climate is cloudy, where we won the toss and choose to bat first.

In these conditions i have no hope other than batting as long as possible

Q. Jessep (rm) 5-1-16-0, V. Panth 13 (18b), K. Grover 12 (25b)
End of over 10 (6 runs) - India U20(33-1) RR 3.30

At the end of first 10 we lost a opener and scored 33 runs, these two players partnership is one of the key elements of our lineup for today hope they can stick around for some more time.

Game 1 Review:

1st Innings:
We lost a Quick Wicket of Murali who loves to open, then we got a partnership which is a dream to have in these conditions for 108 runs post which we lost the accumulator Panth and quickly post that we lost other set batsmen in Grover again we are at the brink of make or break situation of the innings , a quick collapse would have spoiled all the effort put in and exactly that is what happened with our wk and spin specialist Ravuri falling for a spinner unfortunately which did send in some worry but then came Tandon to partner with Srinivasan together formed another crucial partnership of 62 runs post that wickets kept falling but runs were scored by both Raina and Nayak who are the better bats among the group of bowlers.

The crucial part was how we changed gears.
0-10 - 33/1 (33/1) - Good steady start facing the initial new ball heat
11-20 - 46/0 (79/1) - built a good partnership
21-30 - 54/2 (133/3) - switched gears to improving scoring after a set partnership
31-40 - 33/1 (166/4) - quick wickets in the previous 10 so consolidated
41-50 - 72/2 (238/6) - Finished hard enough to post a big total

2nd Innings:

MOM Gopalkrishna started proceedings running in and bowling some serious pace in the conditions tailor made for him troubling the bats with nayak's support kept kiwis 2 wickets down by the end of 4 overs, then NZ recovered with some decent partnership started to seem they are going to form something similar to what we had with grover and Panth but then came in Gopalkrishna again for his second spell picked up two wickets with raina picking 1 on other end quickly changed the situation to 5 down and seemed like we can close much quickly than expected. slowly as they started to build another partnership mehandi and nayak strike again to make it hard to recover for Kiwis by taking them to 7 down for just 81 runs. Nicholas with the support of tail put up a solid fight taking it to 132 runs then a confusion caused a quick runout then our star man Gopal returned and caused another havoc clearing up the wicket of Nicholls which became 134/9 and we all thought now it is just a formality picking the final wicket but then came one of the best partnership for NZ putting up fight beyond what we expect from a no.10 & 11 putting together 46 runs partnership and troubling us from getting better NRR finally vaholiya who dint have a great day compared to his peers got the final wicket to close the innings and hand India the voctory.

How we defended.
0-10 - 42/2 (42/2) - Ahead in runs but extra wk is advantage to us in this tough chase
11-20 - 33/3 (75/5) - Crucial breakthrough making it tough to chase
21-30 - 25/2 (100/7) - setting up the platform for big win
31-40 - 41/2 (141/9) - Counter attack with last ounce of cricket left
41-48.5 - 39/1 (180/10) - A tough nut to crack, a fight and last wicket partnership to be remembered and the lost NRR advantage

India U20 won by 58 runs

Fell short against Kiwis in 2nd T20 game, we will be in trouble if we cant get points on board vs England.

Disastrous tour to say the very least...
You guys lost all except one match...moreover we had better ratings than opponents in each and every match...
Agains Netherlands, you had 11k rating difference but still lost the match...
Opening batting innings with bowlers as makeshift opener, selecting bowlers to bat at 2/4/6 position, playing with 4 spinners(playing 4/5 spinners gives slightly penalty you know) ---- One will lost count of how many tactical mistakes you guys did...
There is no Narine or Pandya in FTP whom you will send uo top to score quickfire runs...Everyone is Laxman or Amla here...
