I'm very happy with that win. We're still first (joint top) but I'd still expect Danger Hotspurs to overtake us at some point.

Once again Westerveld has the best figures with 3-25. This was his last game for the youth team and will now move to the seniors. He's had a pretty decent youth career with averages of less than 20 in both YT20 and YOD and ends as my 3rd highest wicket taker of all time in YOD.

Home to Inchigeela on sticky/humid, won the toss and having a bat. Think the big question today is not the result, we're obviously gonna lose, but can we reach three figures??

End of over 25 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(95-5) RR 3.80

Dry pitch and in these conditions I would have expected us to do a lot better. I would have liked about 220 to give us a chance but we're not going to get there.

errr ok then, 104/2 at drinks. was expecting to be about 60/7 lol. To be honest the bats have been pretty decent so far this season, but we'll need to get probably 300+ to give our bowlers a chance, even on sticky/humid

203/10 in 49.5, certainly a lot better than I was expecting against an incredible Inchigeela side. Would be surprised if we can defend it even on sticky, but who knows, it gives us an outside chance I guess. Star bats were Riedewald and Edouard, with 64 and 65 respectively.

42 from my bowler Clouston has given us a slight chance but, given the conditions, I think we are very much second favourites. There's going to have to be a some very good bowling performances from us (and fielding too).

Clouston's 42 won us the game although we did bowl well too. Hodges' 3-36 were the best figures and we go back top in what is proving to be a very tight league.

An excellent performance today, easily our best of the season so far. Ended up falling just short, but hardly surprising with the squad Inchigeela has. Ironically it was their youngster that did the damage with the bat, a real spring chicken in their lineup at 29.05 years old

Not a bad bowling effort. Gardiner with 2-12 was the best bowler.

End of over 6 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(48-2). 80 runs required from 14 overs. RR 8.00 RRR 5.71

We got off to a super start with the bat but I think we might begin to struggle now.

43 not out from Jupp and 32 for Alphonso Patterson helped us get the win with a couple of overs to spare, which I was not really expecting.

Ruff Royals won by 6 wickets

Relegaion Reprobates take top spot off Staindrop Village albeit on NRR.

Away in sticky/sunny, lost the toss and having a bowl but would have bowled anyway. A fairly rotational side out today, still holding out some hope of survival in the OD league and want to have a fully rested first choice side going into Friday's game against Topmen.

4 overs gone, opps 17/2.

We were made to bat first in a match we could really do with winning.

Issa got 38 and McCall was excellent for his 64. It was a good recovery from 2 wickets in the first over but after that recovery it was a huge collapse from 116-3 to 136 all out.

Closer then it should have been considering we had them at 92-8 with them needing another 45 runs to win. 2 runouts in the last 2 balls got us the win and move us out of the relegation zone.
