We decided to bat first and I thought it went rather well but we'll still need to bowl properly.

P. Naidoo (rfs) 8-0-43-2, F. Bullock 97 (108b), J. Westerveld 2 (5b)
End of over 40 (3 runs) - Ruff Royals(224-6) RR 5.60

Feel a bit sorry for Bullock; he batted the whole innings and just misses out on a century by 3 runs despite still being not out.

D. Combs (lf) 3-0-9-0, O. Herft 6 (14b), S. Warner 5 (11b)
End of over 5 (6 runs) - Egham Town CC(13-1). 212 runs required from 35 overs. RR 2.60 RRR 6.06

Early wicket to start.

Overall 133,375 124,877

Ruff Royals won by 97 runs

Another big win in this league. I'm very happy with the ratings despite a 7k drop in ratings due to losing a batter and bowler to the seniors. I think Monty lost 2 batsmen, including a captain, so that probably helped me.

An immense batting display with Bullock 97 not out and Dickerson 63. That set up our bowlers nicely and, after keeping it tight to start with, we were able to bowl them out with 6 overs to spare. Once again Westerveld picks up the best figures (3 wickets for 7 runs) but I'd pick Williams as my best bowler on the day with 2-15 as he picked up both openers.

another tough game, home to Ffoh on sticky/hot. Having a bat first, not going too well, 52/3 from 11.

This has gone better than I thought it was after the start we had. There's been some drops/missed stumpings so we've had a bit of luck. I'm not sure what total I'd need to feel confident of winning but at least we've put ourselves in a decent postion to push on a to a good total. A collapse now would be a disaster though.

115/6 from 34, about in line with what i was expecting, we always struggle against this opposition - even if we made it to 130 it would be progress

139/10 in 41.3, won't be enough to win, but given our previous scores against this opposition on sticky were 124, 129, 129, at least I can say it's progress!!

Liberatore with probably one of his best innings for the club. He moves past 3000 SOD runs for the club and 4000 SOD runs in his career.

T. Sithole (rws) 10-0-62-2, T. Liberatore 118 (120b), C. Moses 0 (0b)
End of over 50 (7 runs) - Ruff Royals(253-9) RR 5.06

I'm very happy with this total. My bowlers better not mess this up.

you've gotta be one of the favourites for the title this season imo, proper decent squad u have now. Could just be international weeks that hurt you, but I think you have every chance ...

ourselves on the other hand, would be very surprised if we avoided relegation. Our bowling just isn't quite good enough, two base spec summaries playing today, just not really gonna cut it in div 1. With the lowest wages in the league hardly a shock that we'd be struggling, and especially with the two teams that came up being significantly better than those that went down ... yeah I'm struggling to see how we'll survive.

Moses with 4-38 as the best of my bowlers. Hodges also good with 3-25. Liberatore's score of 118 not out was the key to the match.

Sadly, the international weeks will likely kill my chances and means I'll probably lose at least 2 of those weeks depending on exactly who I'm facing and their international call-ups. Inchigeela Angels in particular won't suffer much from internationals due to having an older side. They haven't had the best start with only 2 points so far but they are quite capable of putting on a very good run.

There's plenty of tough opponents in this league and with fatigue issues sure to crop up. My past record doesn't suggest that I'll finally win the league!

Not a great week. On Friday lost a tight match against a similarly rated team after a batting collapse,.

Crestfallen Sidekicks C.C.DeVille CCC
Batting - Top Order 11,056 12,157
Batting - Middle Order 12,176 10,600
Batting - Tail 4,998 4,698
Bowling - Seam 11,720 (40) 11,337 (40)
Bowling - Spin 13,306 (10) 13,356 (10)
Fielding/Keeping 14,701 14,358
Overall 212,215 206,909

C.C.DeVille CCC won by 35 runs

Today went out of the cup after getting absolutely hammered by a team that rating 20k less than me! Batting line up again to blame, ony making 160 against a bowling attack made up exclusively of mediocre right arm seamers.

Astwood AllStars Crestfallen Sidekicks
Batting - Top Order 11,508 11,469
Batting - Middle Order 8,934 10,980
Batting - Tail 5,085 4,485
Bowling - Seam 10,608 (50) 11,374 (30)
Bowling - Spin 0 (0) 12,185 (20)
Fielding/Keeping 12,369 14,502
Overall 187,177 205,251

Astwood AllStars won by 7 wickets

Going to have to serious rethink the strategy going forward.
