S. Hodges (rfs) 3-0-12-0, C. Hillsz 37 (62b), C. Hone 36 (50b)
End of over 20 (5 runs) - Snakey's Kent Stars(81-1) RR 4.05

We really could do with getting a few more wickets right now.

Things have got a lot better with it now 143-5 after Roberson got Hiscock out. :whistle

Still need a few more wickets as I don't want to be chasing too much.

P. Massey (lfs) 10-0-69-2, C. Patfield 50 (47b), K. Ferries 0 (0b)
End of over 50 (8 runs) - Snakey's Kent Stars(242-8) RR 4.84

That's quite a lot to chase; we didn't do well in the last 10 overs.

G. Morgan (rfs) 10-0-57-2, D. Duckworth 3 (2b), L. Waterhouse 35 (20b)
End of over 50 (13 runs) - Bathaloner(274-7) RR 5.48

Fortunately, Bathaloner got a good score against St Marks Hill Strollers.

R. Seib (rfm) 9-2-21-4, P. Massey 1 (2b), M. Roberson 2 (2b)
End of over 37 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(146-8). 97 runs required from 13 overs. RR 3.95 RRR 7.46

It looks like it's going to be a big loss but fortunately for us it looks like it's also going to be a big loss for St. Marks Hill Strollers too.

Big credit to Kev for winning Div 1. Top manager.

A disappointing final game in a disappointing senior season. I should have had enough to have been safer from relegation than I was but at least we did manage to survive in the end.

It's likely to be even tougher next season as I retire some of my older players bring in some younger ones so they don't fall further behind in their experience.

Sadly for Kev, Bathaloner were just short of the title by about 0.022 on net run rate. Not sure how close that is in terms of runs but that must be a hard one to take.

Congrats to Jules and Inchigeela Angels though on a second title in a row.

won the toss and had a bat on humid/uneven. Van Den Bergh got us off to a good start with 73 (106) in a 99 run 2nd wicket partnership with Dann who made 42 (56) before a flurry of wickets left us in a potential sticky position at 169/6. Fortunately we recovered somewhat and ended up posting 225/10 in our 50 overs. In reply opps were going on nicely at 62-0, before Olise had other ideas, ripping out the top order with a brilliant spell, as they collapsed to 165 all out.

With Egham losing their game, this somehow means we've been promoted :o . Definitely wasn't something I was expecting, but I'll take it! Feel like it'll very likely be a one season stay as I just don't see us being strong enough at div 1 level right now, but the prize money is nice and hopefully it'll give some of the younger players a much needed experience boost. Not sure how much transfer business we'll be doing over pre-season, will probably see what's on offer and how ridiculous the prices are

A good win to start off with. I lose my best keeper next week so my ratings are going to go down quite a bit.

It was difficult batting conditions with it being a crumbling pitch. We did well with the ball and restricted them to 112. Bennett finished things off with a hattrick and figures of 4-17.

The chase was tricky and we made it with a couple of balls to spare. Banerjee hit 21, Harrison 29, and Bennett secured his man of the match performance with 38 not out.

a simple start to the season, winning by 81 runs. The problem we're going to have is when Vieira gets moved to seniors in a couple of weeks we'll have no bowlers above reasonable summary :doh. Our batting is pretty strong, but the bowling is gonna be a real issue for us this season in the youths.

The senior team is going to be in for a tough season and it doesn't get much tougher than against Inchigeela Angels.

We didn't do brilliantly with the ball and have to score 196 to win. Our best bowler was our least experienced one.

The reply hasn't got off to the best of starts.

Inchigeela Angels won by 28 runs

Inchigeela Angels Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 14,748 14,720
Batting - Middle Order 13,689 11,089

Overall 255,090 240,085

A nice 82 from Schmidt but we were nowhere near chasing their total. I'm not too unhappy about our ratings (even though they're the lowest of all the teams this round) but it will still be a struggle this season.
