Away in Cloudy/Sticky lost the toss and having a bowl. Topmen going along nicely, 181/7 with 3 overs to go. Really need to keep this below 200 to have any chance.

A great result yesterday. 265 from my youngsters on that pitch was a big total. House was the star with 119 not out from 99 balls. That made the bowling more or less a formality. Westerveld had the best figures with 4-29 but a special mention must go to Bruce who got 3-15 in his final game for the club.

Excellent bowling from us on a dry pitch today. It could have been even better but for a number of drops. Moses and Callaway were the key bowlers with Moses taking 3-40 and Callaway 4-12.

Batting is going okay at the moment but the spinners are yet to get on.

I'll take that batting total for my first game in England's top division, not sure my bowlers are quite good enough yet to stop them getting that. However, it's a competitive total and promising for my survival chances.

Considering I thought we bowled quite well, it was a little bit too close for comfort in the end.

Had hoped to have got closer to that score, but given the rating and experience difference my kids did a reasonable job. It’s going to be a long season!

always thought we were underdogs today and so it proved: Result - lost by 9 runs. To be honest a pretty good effort in the end, but 201 was just too much to chase in these conditions. De Jager did well for his 68, definitely some positives to take from the game. Fortunately we have an easy game next week against Inchigeela

End of over 20 (12 runs) - Ruff Royals(153-3) RR 7.65

A decent total for a slow pitch considering we were asked to bat. Alphonso Patterson got 52 from 45 balls and House 47 from 33.

We could do with some wickets and keeping the scoring slow. Very much in the balance at the moment.
