Ruff Royals Inchigeela Angels
Batting - Top Order 13,823 14,680
Batting - Middle Order 11,892 11,891
Batting - Tail 4,258 6,215
Bowling - Seam 14,075 (20) 14,108 (30)
Bowling - Spin 14,563 (30) 14,207 (20)
Fielding/Keeping 16,968 17,457
Overall 238,380 248,038

Inchigeela Angels won by 5 wickets on a slow pitch.

We started okay and made it nicely to 105-2. We soon collapsed to 138-7 before we limped along to 170 all out. That was never going to be enough. They made it to 98-0 before we finally managed to take some wickets. However, there was never any real runrate pressure so they eventually reached 171-5 with just under 12 overs to go.

Only 4 points clear of the relegation zone now.

...still got beat. Putting promotion to Div 2 in doubt. My apparently strong batting order could only register 175 on a sunny/slow!

A nice hattrick from Farrell has certainly put us on top.

It didn't start very well when they 77-0 on a crumbling pitch but we started picking some wickets and restricted them to 116. We also had a great opening partnership with allrounder Ames scoring 56 from 39 balls and allrounder Bennett got 45 not out from 36 balls.

We're 8 points clear now with 2 games to go.

To bowl out our opponents for 99 in sunny and hard conditions was a great feat, wasn't the greatest of chases but a win is a win.

I was a bit worried when the first over went for 14 on a slow pitch but we ended up restricting them to 118. Moses returned to form with 2-13.

We chased the total down with just over 2 overs to go. McCall was key with 45 from 26.

We're now 8 points clear of the relegation zone with 2 games to go. That means we're pretty much safe as we've got to play the bottom side who only rate less than 100k.

We scored 256 on a slow pitch and we needed to as they did a good, if ultimately futile, job of chasing. We lost 3 fairly early wickets before batter Schwartz got his highest score of 94 and allrounder Delap got his highest score of 111 not out.

Our bowling wasn't great but Passailaigue picked up 3-39.

It seems increasingly likely that Oxhey Players aren't going to be caught at the top of the league. The combination of 4 points advantage and better net run rate is going to be difficult to overcome.

End of over 49 (maiden) - Ruff Royals(207-10) RR 4.22

It was a good recovery on a slow pitch from 66-5 but it's still a disappointing batting display. It took good batting from McCall (64) and allrounder Hodges (51) to get us to 207.

I make top of the table Bathaloner firm favourites in this match. We'll need some top class bowling to get us the win.

An incredibly close game in the end. Rush dropped a catch to win us the match when they only needed 6 runs to win. That could be the difference between us staying up or getting relegated.

It's really tight at the bottom of the table with 3 teams on 20 points with one relegation spot to be decided. We play one of those teams next week at their ground.

won the toss on crumbling/sunny and had a bat. Fairly disappointing effort with the bat, limping to 180/10 in 41.4, Zaha yet again being our best player with 49 (54). In reply however our bowling was brilliant. Gallagher set the tone ripping out the top order with wickets in his first three overs, and Doucoure took care of the middle order with excellent figures of 6.1 - 0 - 14 - 4, as we skittled the opps for 99 to win by 81 runs.

Nice easy game against Ffoh next week, sure their near 270K ratings won't be a problem   ... on a more serious note hopefully we can just keep the NRR damage to a minimum going into the final week of the season.
