S. Coulstock (rfm) 4-0-32-1, D. Tumilty 81 (54b), G. Gee 11 (6b)
End of over 20 (11 runs) - wolfberries(134-4) RR 6.70

Very happy with this total, mostly down to Tumilty. We have the bowling to defend this, whether we do is another thing.

Much needed win, making the most of our two current U20 players before they promote to the seniors. We've already lost another to the seniors this week.

We were always going to struggle, it didn't help with one of our openers being run out while our top batsmen was out to a spinner for only eight in Hard & Humid conditions!

Wanted to boost NRR so went for a flat pitch, won the toss and had a bat. Three runouts didn't help, but we got to 370/5 in our 50, Riedewald with his 3rd ton in a row the star yet again, hitting 188 from 152 balls. In reply opps always struggled with the run rate and limped to 263/9, giving us a 107 run win.

7 wins from 7 to start the season, but still a tough job to do to get promotion back to div 2 at the first time of asking. Really want to keep boosting the run rate so a slip up isn't fatal with Bedfordshire Jats breathing down our neck.

Ruff Royals won by 3 wickets

A lot tighter than I would have liked but a no ball off what would have been the last ball helped us over the line.

My batting line-up got completely obliterated as we slumped to 15-5 on a slow pitch. All out for 69. Nice!

At one point I thought we were dead and buried, but four wickets in five balls changed that.

won the toss on sunny/sticky and restricted opps to 99/6 in their 20. Always looked comfortable with the chase and won by 4 wickets with 9 balls remaining. A good win in a very competitive league.

R. Schneider (rm) 9.2-2-28-4, G. Muir 0 (1b)
End of over 44 (3 runs) - Knockout Heroes(161-10) RR 3.66

That's a great bowling effort on a slow pitch, I reckon. Sadly, my batters seem incapable of batting well this season so I'm still expecting to lose.

D. Asotasi (rfs) 2-0-4-1, T. Liberatore 13 (27b), S. Whitehead 0 (7b)
End of over 11 (1 run) - Ruff Royals(35-3). 127 runs required from 39 overs. RR 3.18 RRR 3.26

These 2 need to get almost all the remaining runs and I can't see that happening.

Good bowling effort to get them out for 161 but we really struggled to chase it. 51 for Dennehy saw us home and pushes his chances of playing ahead of Schmidt who hasn't impressed so far.

Still 4 points and a lot of NRR away from safety.
