With 3 players away on international duty, I'm very pleased with both the huge win and the ratings. Early days but my switch to a crumbling pitch seems to have worked out quite well. A lot tougher tests to come.

Banerjee was the star with the bat and hit 73 not out from 62 balls. Passailaigue cleaned up with the ball and took 5-15.

Edit: Not sure what I was thinking but, although I have changed my pitch to crumbling for my youth team, this was an away game for me so has nothing to do with changing my pitch!

It was an excellent bowling effort as we bowled them out for 81 on a slow pitch. It felt like we made hard work of the batting but we still reached exceeded their total with more than 3 overs to spare. Roberson was the star with the ball and finished with 5-18.

The week was going so well but the match I most need to win is the one today. It is not going well. The second half of the season is going to have to go extremely well and I have serious doubts that I can turn my season around.

The batting was awful again and we were bowled out for 156 on a dry pitch. Only 10 runs for Issa means I might send him for retirement this christmas; I may as well use a younger player with promise.
