Yesterday's youth game was fairly comfortable after we scored a huge 267 on a slow pitch. Dickerson's 79 and Jupp's 114 not out were the key factors in that total.

The bowling was surprisingly tough but thankfully the huge total that we got meant we were never in trouble.

I'm not happy with the start to the season in SOD. I've already lost half the games I lost last season and we're only two weeks in. It's very much looking like a relegation fight rather than a title fight which is strange as I wouldn't say we're any weaker than we were last season.

Rush has got himself into my bad books after an appalling performance. He needs a bit of experience but he's done himself no favours today; if he's going to perform like that then how can I pick him?

A decent win with good bowling restricting them to 112 on a slow pitch. Fast bowler Zondeki with 2 wickets for just 9 runs and Wheeler with 3-12 were the stand out bowlers. The batting was fairly comfortable with a nice 53 for Dickerson.

We struggled to take wickets and we also struggled to stop conceding so many runs. That's not the best combination!

Another poor batting display on a slow pitch which is strange because I usually quite like slow pitches. We've got no chance of winning this. I think I need to take another look at my tactics or we won't be able to escape relegation.
