Can't see us defending that.
I can although I'd be disappointed if we didn't chase this. I've been disappointed many times this season already.

I must admit to feeling more confident about this now.

Ruff Royals won by 6 wickets

I'm very happy to have picked up the win. I thought our bowling was good and we managed to back it up with the bat. Another good performance by recent signing, Dickerson, who I paid too much for because he was American. He could turn out to be a very handy player if he keeps this up; he followed his recent 43 with a 52.

It was nice for Schmidt to end up on the winning side in his last youth game and he did nicely to get 33 not out.

lost by 7 wickets. Thought our fielding rating looked surprisingly poor, then realized I'd selected our world class keeper, reasonable captain as captain and our ordinry keeper, oustanding captain as keeper ... ah well silly mistake to make, without doubt cost us the win today. One of those things just have to laugh about it and move on.
Ah bugger - in such a close game that probably made all the difference. Sorry about that
totally my own fault

away in crumbling/cloudy, lost the toss and put into bat, although I was going to bat first anyway. Been a positive start, 110/1 from 20. Not played too much on crumbling before so no sense of what a good score would be, but happy with this start.

I thought we bowled well today on a flat pitch against Inchigeela Angels. It would have been even better if Roberson hadn't dropped Kiernan when he was on 29 and if Paton hadn't dropped him on 74 (they would have been 145-7 if Paton had taken that catch). Instead they fought their way to 248 with their number 8 batter hitting 59 from 64 balls and Kiernan finally run out for 113.

Then it was our turn to bat. My 26-year-old seam specialist, McCall, continued his good week with 76 from 94 balls. The rest of the team did not do anywhere near as well and, whilst most of them got into double figures, none got more than 20. We ended up being all out for a disappointing 199.

Bowling - Spin 13,992 (20) 14,095 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 16,695 16,802
Overall 249,148 232,993

Inchigeela Angels won by 49 runs.

excellent performance today, winning 123 runs to get our first win of the season. Eze was superb with a well made century, but a lot of the team contributed with either bat or ball.

I would certainly say we are favourites now, not a bad SR by Martel.
