S. Coppell (rfm) 4-0-16-2, M. Herdegen 8 (7b), O. Harford 0 (1b)
End of over 15 (1 run) - wolfberries(113-3). 49 runs required from 5 overs. RR 7.53 RRR 9.80

Well two wickets for one run in that over made it nearly impossible to win this now, especially as my best batsmen went for a three ball duck unlike their fella who smashed our bowling!

You could do with a 15+ run over (or two overs).

P. Callaway (rfs) 4-0-28-2, Z. Abolhassan 47 (51b), A. wa Gicheru 0 (1b)
End of over 16 (6 runs) - C.C.DeVille CCC(96-3). 22 runs required from 4 overs. RR 6.00 RRR 5.50

I guess we had a good over with 2 wickets from it but they still got above the RRR from it.

South London's Number One CC wolfberries
Batting - Top Order 8,287 11,815
Batting - Middle Order 9,648 10,260
Batting - Tail 7,479 3,238
Bowling - Seam 8,230 (12) 9,973 (16)
Bowling - Spin 7,480 (8) 10,654 (4)
Fielding/Keeping 13,770 14,105
Overall 175,140 190,877

Result: wolfberries won by 6 wickets

Phew, did it with an over to spare.

It was close but we just fell short. C.C.DeVille CCC won by 5 wickets and with 3 balls to spare.

C.C.DeVille CCC Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 12,281 12,554
Batting - Middle Order 8,614 10,113
Batting - Tail 5,144 4,294
Bowling - Seam 12,033 (16) 11,343 (12)
Bowling - Spin 12,181 (4) 10,976 (8)
Fielding/Keeping 14,242 15,065
Overall 202,051 204,729

The ratings seem fairly even but, for me, the big difference is in the bowling quality and that is crucial in this game. Paton dropping Abolhassan when he was on 9 was also key; he went on to make 56 not out.

Tell me about it, with a full strength side out we don't rate the worst but we have a weak bowling attack!

Just like your game today, some games our ratings might be similar but we suffer due to not being able to bowl teams out.

I'm bowling first on a flat pitch.

S. Clouston (rf) 1-0-8-0, B. Brindley 25 (30b), T. Geeves 25 (25b)
End of over 9 (8 runs) - Sledgingshire(51-0) RR 5.67

2 drops so far both to reliable fielders. At least we're creating chances, I guess.

14.1
.
Clouston to Brindley : [dropped] A short ball from Clouston, and Brindley launched into a pull shot that burst through the hands of McCall at short midwicket and ended up crashing into his cap. It looks like McCall has injured his head as well as his pride.

Another reliable fielder. :doh

16.1
2
Vaughn to Brindley : [dropped] Brindley's not got onto that as well as he'd hoped. Norris is out in the deep and it goes down! Oh dear... and if it could get any worse for Vaughn there's 2 runs more to the score.

Guess what? It's another reliable fielder dropping a chance. Perhaps reliable is too low at youth level?

16.5
W
Vaughn to Brindley : Coming in with the angle and too good for Brindley, who fails to get bat on ball and is caught plumb in front of the stumps.
B. Brindley lbw b. T. Vaughn 50 (59b 2x4 0x6) SR:84.75

Finally got him and we only gave him 4 chances. Looks like we'll have to not bother trying to get anyone caught and just go lbw and bowled all the way!

P. Massey (lfs) 3-0-7-0, T. Geeves 56 (45b), B. Waygood 2 (6b)
End of over 18 (8 runs) - Sledgingshire(114-1) RR 6.33

We need to lower the RR now and pick up few more wickets if possible.

End of over 20 (10 runs) - wolfberries(95-1) RR 4.75

Not the worst first 20 overs by our batsmen.

27.4 W Wade to Hills : [catch] Wide, short and slow - terrible ball. But not quite as terrible as the shot which takes a top edge and is safely taken in the bucket hands of Madyarchyk down at fine leg, Hills isn't going to live that one down and neither should he.F. Hills c A. Madyarchyk b. J. Wade 6 (2b 0x4 1x6) SR:300.00
27.3 6 Wade to Hills : That has gone very, very high up. The fielder waits underneath it at long on, but it just clears his outstretched hands.
27.2 W Wade to Duldig : Missing off, missing leg, hitting middle halfway up.T. Duldig lbw b. J. Wade 66 (89b 7x4 0x6) SR:74.16

Who needs to get your eye in

Not a great next 10 overs though.

End of over 35 (8 runs) - Sledgingshire(237-2) RR 6.77

Another 2 drops. One is my keeper and the other was capable fielder.

Edit: Another drop from a reliable fielder but Ball gets out Geeves next ball.
