It was a very good batting performance with Bullock getting 51 and Banerjee just made it to 100 not out from the last ball of the innings as we made 224-2 on a slow pitch.

The bowling wasn't amazing but it never really looked like they were going to chase the total we set. Sadly for the youth team, Mark Patterson's 2-36 is his last contribution to the youth side and he will soon move to the senior set-up.

First game back in Div 3 and an excellent start to the season. Lost the toss and had a bat on slow/cloudy, getting a respectable 264/6 in our 50. In reply opps looked well set at 185/4, but the classic FTP collapse saw them end on 199/10, giving us a win by 65 runs. Not sure how likely promotion is this season, but this is a very good start against a strong opposition.

A bit closer than I would have liked but we got the points in the end. It took allrounder Schneider (26 not out) and bowler Roberson (14 not out) to get us to a defendable total when it looked like we were going to completely collapse. A good team bowling performance meant we picked up all 4 points.
