Training

In the old days managers had the option to control the level of their Senior and Youth academies separately.

Now that they are at one level I feel it would make sense that all the players in both squads get trained on the same day.

My preference would be to move the Youth training to Wednesday because any Youth player released on Monday isn't available to play that day anyway.

I too wouldn't mind seeing them train on a day they don't have a match.

What about swapping the days so that the training doesn't occur on a match day?

Seniors train Monday and juniors train Wednesday

I like the idea of all players training on the same day and makes sense for it to be Wednesday (as the only midweek day without competitive matches.

We aren't averse to it, but we would need more input from the genpop

My question would be - would it have a major effect, or any effect, on the "genpop"?

I doubt there would be any major effect, no more than any other recent changes. For 1 it would put a stop to the youth training and playing at the same time and removes the managers doubt of "is training and small fitness hit included before or after that match?"
Secondly it opens that existing window a bit further for recruits to be done between age update and training from approx 1 day to 3. I think that would be the main effects.

Yes, they would get extra training, but it wouldn't increase the loophole for last week's recruits, which runs out at the financial update.
The effect on genpop is more, what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing it.
Is it a change for change's sake (heard that a lot)

recruiting after age update on Sunday and before training on Monday is the current gap. Having training on a wednesday would extend that gap another 2 days wouldn't it?

Based on last week's recruit loophole, the end time is the finance update. This, in fact, would alleviate the loophole, as all players would train at 16.00 as long as they were recruited by the Wed training time

I am for Youth and Senior training being on the same day - I think it makes it easier from a managerial point of view for pop checking and training plan changes to have it all at once.

My only question is if having a very large majority of managers then recruit prior to Wednesday, so as to have the training when the recruit is 16.00, would make any difference?

Don't like it personally. It works either way, but it's more enjoyable having two days a week where my team receives training.

Having training on two separate days spreads the joy.

Yes, I actually might agree with this too upon reflection aha
