Plops for Experience

Post by Fgrenyu » Thu Mar 06, 2025 10:59 pm

With a number of players being held onto well into their golden years, it's time to introduce experience plops once a player hits 65 to simulate the onset of the degradation of ones memory as they age.

Doesn't make logical sense unless they're getting hit so many times in the head that they're forgetting how to hold a bat.

Well that's exactly what happens. Remember, these players are 99.9999999999999999999% of the time going to be at atrocious skills across the board.

Further, I'm not sure that getting hit in the head is the only cause of age related memory loss...

I don't imagine lowering the experience is going to alter their decision. I think increasing the wages has been effective but if someone wants to retain players till 99 and beyond and are prepared to pay the wages lowering experience is going to do little. The difference in experience has little impact on atrocious skills.

Oh, FYI, this is purely for asthetic reasons. It doesn't bother me that people hold on to them or any skill that may be impacted. It's all about the 'has the dementia kicked in yet for a bt of a laugh.

I'd make the plops completely random rather than linear.
