Hm. I think I'm quite pleased with this guy. :clap

My affiliate's scout dragged this guy off the football pitch next door, where he was looking very good as a goalkeeper. Turns out, he's quite an ordinary cricketer, but his leg spin might be worth developing.

I think, with it being about halfway through the season, I'd concentrate on making him a really top class bowler. Looks quality! :party

Probably best that he switched to cricket as I doubt he was going to be as good as the original Kasey Keller.

Very nice player Philly, and almost zero wasted stats with only dreadful keeping as well.

I agree with the group, that I'd just stick with him as a bowler. One batting pop on AR possibly wouldn't hurt, but I'd expect to be waiting as it's feels a modest wage for those primaries.

First pull of the season that isn't terrible for me, but is still fairly meh considering:

16 years | 22,534 rating | $987 wage (5% discount)

Left hand batsman | Right arm Finger spin

Talents Arm Ball
Nationality USA USA
Form reasonable
Fatigue rested
Experience dreadful
Captaincy reliable
Skills Summary
Batsman ordinary
Bowler poor
Keeper poor
Allrounder ordinary
Skills
Batting average Endurance dreadful
Bowling poor Technique reasonable
Keeping ordinary Power poor
Fielding poor

A lot of work required on the secondaries so that average/reasonable does feel like a bit of a false dawn, and no relevant talent... I'm hoping it's closer to reasonable/reasonable with the wage.

Nice pop on Garrett:

17 years | 37,126 rating | $1,576 wage (5% discount)

Right hand batsman | Right arm Finger spin

Talents Gifted (Fielding)
Nationality USA USA
Form reliable
Fatigue revived
Experience ordinary
Captaincy average
Skills Summary
Batsman average
Bowler capable
Keeper ordinary
Allrounder reasonable
Skills
Batting ordinary Endurance average
Bowling capable Technique reasonable
Keeping ordinary Power reasonable
Fielding accomplished

That's where my mind was headed. Fielding first, then bowling tech.

Arguably, this is my best youth recruit of the season although he's similar to a player I recruited in the early weeks.

Favourite pop of the week:

Charles Moses
20 years | 38,243 rating | $3,879 wage (7% discount)
Right hand batsman | Right arm Wrist spin
Talents Skilled (Technique)
Nationality USA USA
Form average
Fatigue rested
Experience reasonable
Captaincy ordinary
Skills Summary
Batsman ordinary
Bowler expert
Keeper poor
Allrounder average
Skills
Batting dreadful Endurance reasonable
Bowling expert Technique outstanding
Keeping dreadful Power poor
Fielding capable

I wasn't really expecting it but probably should have. I only just started training fielding again so it was a nice bonus. Despite not being good enough for the youth national team, I'm crossing my fingers that he might be good enough for the senior national team at some point if only as back-up wrist spinner to Garner.

Another Jackson rolls into the Bluenose pipeline.
Pure batsman, or WK. Tending towards pure batsman, as it's later in the season and he has no useful talent for dual training.
Thoughts?

Ryan Jackson: 16 years | 26,245 rating | $1,075 wage (5% discount)

Right hand batsman | Left arm Fast medium
Talents Finisher
Experience poor

Batting reasonable Endurance ordinary
Bowling dreadful Technique average
Keeping ordinary Power average

I'd go batsman unless you really need a keeper.

Also, after a brief look, I think I've only had 2 Jackson's in my FTP career and I don't think any of them went on to my senior team.

A nice wage on this guy and about 4k in spare ratings. Not sure what I should do with him. Is it too late to go keeper or do I just go batsman?

I'd be more curious about his bowling than his keeping (I like fast bowlers), but would probably go pure batsman given it's late in the season.
